Guest guest
Dear Arun, The method of point distribution in BhinaAshtakavarga is given by Varharamira. There is also oe given by Parasara, we follow the method given by Varharamira. The distribution of the points is given by the Great Maharishi. The reasons are beyond me for now . You do know that Jupiter is a great benefic, and Saturn and Mars are malefic. Now check the number of points that are contributed by each planet (benefic points are called bindus). You will notice that Saturn and Mars contribute only few benefic points called Bindus compared to Jupiter, Mercury and Venus making them more malefic. Now to cast the BAV chart, say for example sun is in the 8th house then start marking the dots accordingly from the 8th position and distribute it. Similarly do that for all planets. Take your chart and practice on it. Take the worksheet created by Sanjay and verify if your BAV is being casted correctly. You will then get the total support or how many bindus each planet contributes for each sign for each planet. This sum is known as the Sarvashtakavarga chart. So the total points that sun attributes for the 8th house will be its strength for the chart. eg. you may get Sun giving 2 bindus for 8th house. Similarly for moon sun may contribute 3 points and for mars it may give 5 points for 8th house.. then sum total for the 8th house will give the total SAV for the 8th house. This overall strength shows the strength of the 8th house. 28 points and above shows that its a healthy house anything below 28 points the pereson may not be able to enjoy all the frits of that house. Now this SAV chart is the basis for which you build on to the worksheet that Sanjay has created. This work sheet shows the COMBINED STRENGTH of a planet. With the aid of this you can know how much good or bad a planet is capable of doing. (ofcouse there are certain laws that you must follow which are given in the lessons). So take your chart, and start to distribute the points. If you want to know why Saturn gives so many points and why Jupiter gives so many points, I do not have an answer to that, I take Maharishi's Varharamihara's word for it. In its application you will find why planets are considered malefic or benefic. With the upachaya system, you will see how planets using Vimshottari dasa give their results. You question is very good. Keep on studying and thinking. Cheers !!!
