Many classics assert the 5th house is also involved in spiritual life (merit earned in previous life, initiation to a mantra through a guru). In the 5th house were considered as house B (for spiritual life), the house A were the 12th house. So, Jupiter (Brahma) should be the natural karaka of spiritual life. It sticks well.
