Statistically each ascendent should be represented evenly. This is not the case with my charts were the aquarius ascendants are rarel. Most of my charts are from Europeans. Geminis,Cancers, Leos and Libras come up most frequently, then follow the Virgos, Sagittarius, Scorpios, Capricorns, Pisces, Taurus and Aries in decreasing order. Aquarius is very poorly represented. As you go to northen hemisphere, some sign have very short time in Lagna. If you go above 66 degree north some sign will have negative time. Similar case with surthern hemishere with opposite sign. The time for each sign in lagna is not equal. Veries from Zero (or negative) to 3 hours or more. So this is reason why persons with perticular Ascendant in perticular area will be more, and Some ascendent will be short. Yes, I know that some signs are quick or slow rising according to lattitude,but then in a certain way our " destiny " is determined by the place we are born and so as a nation we share more or less the same destiny. In connection with your Question, assuming 100 children take birth every day in a perticular country. So it may be about 4 children per hour. If we consider the Lattitude in northern hamisphere, some sign have less SWODAY KAL say only one hour, and if other sign have 3 hours, then definitely less persons will be with Lagn Sign having less time, and more person with lagna sign having more time. The lagna sign controles over the nature of the person ( it is one factor). So We can say, the destiny, or the customs of the country will be effected by the sign having more " Swoday kal " . When I was at boarding school, 90% of the girls coming from more " rural " surroundings were born in the month of may, so that means Sun in Aries or Taurus; this could be another factor that determines the local " character " of people. But now times have changed I think because traditional life styles are disappearing.
