Guest guest
Hello, my name is Puneet Joshi. I have been reading some of the posts on the site and I am just beginning to go through the posted lessons. I'm having some initial confusion about getting the proper ayanamsha. I used the calculator for my own birth date and it is giving me Krushna's ayanamsha as being: 22-30-07. And I am using Jagannatha Hora Lite program. When I put in the deviation from Lahiri ayanamsha as subtracting the 1-0-51 it comes out different than Krushna's ayanamsha. I think it has to do with the fact that the program only supports only non-linear ayanamshas. The program is giving the ayanamsha as being 22-30-08. The program has a notice saying that ayanamsha changes are non-linear in reality. And as an example it says that using a linear ayanamsha compromises the accuracy of Tajaka charts. I'm only at the very first steps of this all. Will the 1-second difference be correct to still use? Thanks, Puneet Richmond Hill, ON, Canada
Guest guest
Dear Puneet, Its works fine. I have not as yet had a problem for casting charts. I use jhl too. Krushnaji and Margarita and other list members generally put the degrees and minutes in their posts so that there is no confusion and it matches even with that 1 minute difference. Thanking you, Cheers !!! Ash , " pjoshi1975 " <sunnyjoshi25> wrote: > > > Hello, my name is Puneet Joshi. Guest guest
Dear Ash, Thanks for your reply. Actually I am concerned about this because using this ayanamsha it changes my navamsa chart significantly -particularly the rahu-ketu axis, and an exalted mercury that leaves that position. Also it is changing the vimshottari dasa sequence. I have got a lot of guidance from consultaions with a few formidable astrolgers as I have been reading about the subject these past years - they have all given guidance through straight lahiri ayanamsha and much of what they have given has made some sense. So changing this all disrupts my state of mind and my relation with the subject. But I know ashtakavarga is a profound branch of astrology -are you all using this ayanamsha only for the ashtakavarga part of your weightage in deriving a prediction or are you using multiple ayanamshas for the different schools of thought? At the first steps, I want to make sure I go out on a path that is as correct as possible. I have had no Guru, and this avenuse seems very good for people who have a true desire to learn the subject. There are so many views out there, and for a beginner it is hard to to just one. Maybe you could tell me about how you began to learn this... Guest guest
Dear Puneet, Please Post your chart on the list. That will give me a more stronger basis to work on otherwise everything becomes abstract and speculation. I am answering your questions below. , Sunny Joshi <sunnyjoshi25> wrote: > Dear Ash, > > Thanks for your reply. ASH : IN MY CHART TOO BY CHANGING THE ANANYAMSA FROM LAHIRI TO KRUSHNA'S CHANGES MY NAVAMSA LAGNA FROM PISCES TO ARIES. BUT THATS AN AREA I SHALL VENTURE INTO ONCE I AM CONFIDENT ON THE TECHNIQUE AND WILL HAVE STRONGER BASIS FOR A DEBATE WITH THE MORE LEARNED. TILL THEN I AM GOING ON FAITH. MAYBE MY BIRTH TIME CAN HAVE A LITTLE VARIATION WHO KNOWS ? BUT I SHALL LEAVE THAT TOPIC OUT FOR A POINT IN TIME WHEN I AM VERY CONFIDENT ON MY TECHNIQUES. > > Also it is changing the vimshottari dasa sequence. ASH : IF THE NAKSHATRA OF MOON CHANGES THE VIMSHOTTARI DASA WILL CHANGE AS VIMSHOTTARI DASA STARTS FROM THE LORD OF NAKSHATRA THAT MOON RESIDES IN. > I have got a lot of guidance from consultaions with a > few formidable astrolgers as I have been reading about > the subject these past years - they have all given > guidance through straight lahiri ayanamsha and much of > what they have given has made some sense. So changing > this all disrupts my state of mind and my relation > with the subject. ASH : I HAVE ALSO GOT GUIDANCE FROM VERY ASTUTE ASTROLOGERS WHO HAVE GIVE CORRECT PREDICTION USING LAHIRI AND ALSO THE SAME LEVEL OF ACCURACY USING KRUSHNA'S ANANYAMSA AND THAT IS WHY I AM SAYING THAT IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER THEN ITS BETTER THAT U AND ME BEING A BEGINNER ALSO DO NOT GO INTO THAT AREA WITHOUT OUR TECHNIQUES BEING TESTED ON LOTS OF CHARTS FIRST. > > But I know ashtakavarga is a profound branch of > astrology -are you all using this ayanamsha only for > the ashtakavarga part of your weightage in deriving a > prediction or are you using multiple ayanamshas for > the different schools of thought? ASH : ASHTAKAVARGA SYSTEM OF PREDICTION AND USING ASHTAKAVARGA TO TIME EVENTS IS BEING TAUGHT. THIS IS A WHOLE SYSTEM IN ITSELF. GO THROUGH THE OLD POSTS ON THIS LIST AND THE LESSONS AND IT WILL SLOWLY START TO CLEAR UP. LOTS OF CHARTS AND BLIND EXAMPLES HAVE BEEN GIVEN AND SOLVED BY THE LEARNED MEMBERS OF THIS LIST AND USING KRUSHNAS ANANYAMSA AND YOU CAN SEE THE ACCURACY. ONE MORE THING, IN THIS SYSTEM WE ARE USING VARHARAMIRAS SCHEME OF POINTS DISTRUBTION OF BHINA-ASHTAKAVARGA AND YOU MAY FIND THAT THE SAV POINTS USING JHL WILL BE DIFFERENT THAN WHAT YOU WILL FIND AS ITS BEEN PROGRAMMED FO USING PARASARA'S SCHEME. SO USE THE SPREADSHEET THAT SANJAY HAS CREATED AND THAT GIVES YOU THE TOOLS U NEED TO WORK ON A CHART. ALL THESE THINGS ARE BASED ON SOUND PRICIPLES OF VEDIC ASTROLOGY. > > At the first steps, I want to make sure I go out on a > path that is as correct as possible. YOU JUST WORK ON A SYSTEM THAT YOU LIKE AND WORK ON IT. THINGS WILL START FALLING INTO PLACE AS YOUR KNOWLEDGE GROWS. > Maybe you could tell me about how you began to learn > this... ASH : I BELIEVE IN ASHTAKAVARGA SYSTEM AND I HAVE TRIED THE PRINCIPLES THAT KRUSHNAJI HAS TAUGHT US ON VARIOUS CHARTS. THE SEEM TO WORK WITH THE ANANYAMSA AND I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS. ASHTAKAVARGA SYSTEM IS BASED ON NUMBERS AND ITS VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND. BEING AN ENGINEER MYSELF NUMBERS COME EASILY TO ME. SANJAY HAS CREATED A WONDERFUL WORKSHEET THAT YOU CAN USE AND IT WILL GIVE YOU POINTS FOR ALL HOUSES. SINCE ITS ALL MATH BASED AND ONCE YOU GET THE POINTS THEN ONE CAN EVEN AT A GLANCE SEE THE PERIODS OF GOOD AND TROUBLED TIMES, OFCOURSE THERE ARE SOME PRINCIPLES BUT ALL THOSE THINGS ARE GIVEN IN THE LESSONS. ITS VERY STRAIGHT FORWARD. BEGIN WITH THE LESSON 1 AND WORK YOUR WAY DOWN THROGH OTHER LESSON IN THE LIST. I SHALL GIVE YOU SOME BASIS THAT WHEN I JOINED THE LIST CONFUSED ME BUT I WENT THROUGH THE LESSONS AND ASKED QUESTIONS AND THEY BECAME CLEAR. YOU WILL HEAR OF HOUSE A,B,C,D AND E LETS ASSUME YOU ARE CONSIDERING 7TH HOUSE TO FIND OUT ABOUT MARRIAGE. HOUSE A - KARAK HOUSE (8TH HOUSE FROM 7TH) I.E. 2ND HOUSE B - HOUSE UNDER CONSIDEREATION I.E. 7TH C - 5TH HOUSE FROM 7TH I.E. 11TH HOUSE D - 10TH HOUSE FROM 7TH I.E. 4TH HOUSE E - 6TH HOUSE FROM 7TH I.E. 12TH HOUSE UPCHAYA HOUSE : HOUSE OF GROWH AS GIVEN IN TEXTS SAMDHARMI - PLANETS THAT CAN SUBSTITUE TO GIVE RESULTS. (THERE ARE LESSONS ON THE SAME) WORKSHEET - WORKSHEET IS WHERE YOU ENTER YOUR BIRTH CHART DATA PARAMETERS AND IT WILL COMPUTE THE STRENGTH OF PLANETS FOR ALL THE HOUSE. THERE ARE LESSONS ON HOW TO COMPUTE THE SAME. THERE ARE A FEW MORE THINGS THAT YOU CAN LOOK UP IN THE LESSONS. AHH.. ONE MORE IMPORTANT THING, KEEP YOUR MIND CLEAN OF OTHER SYSTEMS OR IT WILL LEAD TO CONFUSION. SO IF YOU ARE LEARNING ASHTAKAVARGA THEN DO NOT MIX OTHER SYSTEMS OR IT WILL ONLY CONFUSE YOU, I USED TO DO THAT BUT THEN I STOPPED AS EACH SYSTEM HAS ITS OWN PHILOSOPHY AND REASONS. YES IF YOU ARE WELL VERSED WITH OTHE SYSTEMS THEN YOU CAN DEFINITELY CROSS CHECK YOUR FINAL RESULTS WITH THEM BUT DO NOT MIX THE SYSTEMS. IF YOU START FROM LESSON 1 WITH A CLEAN MIND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. I HOPE I HAVE ANSWERED ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. AND PUNEET, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO POST ALL YOUR DOUBTS TO THE LIST. WELCOME TO THE GROUP AND ENJOY LEARNING, > > Thanks, > > Puneet > CHEERS !!! ASH
