This is a post from another group which I put on this list with permission. Male child June 22, 2002 5:02 pm Yuma AZ 32N43 31 114W37 25 USA As 3°18 scorpio - Female child June 22, 2002 4:20 pm Grayslake, IL 42N20 40 088W02 30 USA Asc 22°22 libra One of these children spent 3 weeks in neonatal intensive care and is drowsy and barely alert at 6 weeks. The other is healthy, quite amazingly alert, and obviously studies the environment intensely. It is asked to determine which child has the problems. For those members interested ...... I think that health problem at birth should be signified by an affliction to the first house or a related significator. The lord of the sub-period at birth time may also be weak for first house. In the boy's chart, the first house is occupied by the Moon and Ketu. The Moon has got 5 points in its place in BAV and 12 points for the first house in SAV. Ketu is samdharmi to Mars and Mercury. Mars is lord of VI but this is house E if house I is taken as B. Mars has got 16 points in SAV for house I. Mercury gets just 3 points in SAV for first house . But the birth is in Saturn/Rahu. Rahu is samdharmi to Mars lord of E with 16 points and to Venus which gets 17 points in SAV for house I (Mars and Venus get the higher scores of the worksheet for this house). As for the girl's chart, I get the ascendent at 18°08' Libra (not 22°22') with Krushna's ayanamsa. I can't figure out where the difference comes from. As it is, the first house is aspected by Jupiter lord of VI which has 5 points in its sign so the aspect is malefic. The birth is in Saturn/Mars. Mars is placed with Jupiter and has only got 8 points in SAV for the first house. Therefore I think that the girl is the child who has got health problems. For the boy, the high scores of Mars and Venus for house I and the fact that the sub-period lord is samdharmi to these two planets suggest good health and vitality. Maybe my reasoning is not correct.
