Need some off list help

Hello,

 

I have printed off the lessons but I have some questions about

how to award the points. Would someone be willing to work with

me offlist to gain an understanding? This will keep the list

uncluttered.

Welcome to the list. Please feel free to post your questions to the

list. In that way even other new commers or silent members can learn.

I shall try to answer your question to the best of my abilities in

the time I have and Im sure other senior members of the list will

also help you as and when they have time.

Hi Ash!

 

Okay here goes! I am not understanding how the number system is working. In lesson 1 pg 8, under Bhinnashtakavarga it shows how the different planets spread points through out the chart. On page 12 of lesson one it shows a Ashtakavarga chart of a male. For the sun is shows a total of 5 points and I cannot figure out how you came by these numbers. If I count the number of points that each planet distributes, I only come up with 4 points. Would the extra point be due to the Sun actually being in the 12th house? If that were true then the 11th house should have 7 points in the Sun row as the planets

all distribute a point for the 11th house yet in the 11th house on the Sun

row the total for the 11th house is 4

 

I am sure there is something small I am not seeing or understanding but

I would appreciate someone helping me to understand this.

Hi Sherri,

 

Lets look at Suns distribution of points of Sun.

 

Sun gets 5 points from the following planets

Sun, Moon, Mars, Saturn and Lagna.

 

In order to compute the points.

Take the distribution of Sun. This is how the points of Sun are

distributed and you can see that Sun is in 12th house and so Total

bindus that Sun attains for 12th house is 5.

The method is simple

Take the planet eg Sun-Sun.

The next step is to take Sun and see where it is placed. In above eg

its in 12th house.

Then next step is to distirbute the points keeping Sun's position

so 12th house gets 1 bindu, 1st house gets 1 bindu, 2nd house gets 0

etc etc.

Similary do for Moon in Suns distibution.
