Hi,

I have been egerly going through the new system on bindu points. I would like to

draw a distinguishing line between some of the concept in my own view. As ash

has mentioned not to confuse the Ashtakavarga system with other.

I mainly see this system finding much importance in timing events. It is rather

hard to understanding the effect of the rashi chart in the light of what the

native has in store wealth, health and in general life wise just using this

system. Some of the very few factors (I might be very wrong on them) but have

skimmed over which I feel hold much importance are as follow:

-The planets in 4th from moon are not included in the masterschulde and some how

leads me to believe are not very relvent in the calculations of the overall

strenghts of the planets in the house of concern. According to tradational vedic

rules the gaja kesari yoga is formed with jupiter and moon and such yoga or

other effects get left out of the picture while strength calculations.

-Vedic astrology considers the moon as the most important planet. And infact in

many charts that astrologers analyze a good emphasis is placed on the moon as

being the acedent when the postion of the moon is relatively strong in the chart

and this takes precedence over the lagna. So I think moon plays a very cruial

role in determening the strength of planets.

-I have had a hard time trying to figure put the pieces of the astrological

puzzle in trying to understand the aspect phenomena. Just as an example. The

argala for a particular house is counted when shuba planets are in 2nd,4th and

11th from a house that is in consideration. These planets provide good

intervention to the matters of the house in consideration. The presence of

jupiter in these argala causing houses is considered good and many predictions

have been made to good accuracy in underlying an important event in a natives

life (not to confuse with timing the event). So then how can jupitorial aspects

be negative just considering bindu points.

These are just some frank observations made, Im sure they must have been

answered before. But Ive often come to ponder on a little thought. Ive had been

to many astrologer, some of them have been close friends of mine and we discuss

a lot on the issue of astrologer. Ever since I was a child I have had (along

with so many of us in this fourm) that we go to an astrologer and the astrologer

(good one ofcourse) will predict much of the course of our life and pin point

event to close accuracy just in a matter of mintues. He basically (the

astrologer) draws the rashi chart (infact most astrologers dont even dwell deep

into the navasahma) and yet they are successful in predicting and timing events

very closely. How do they do that.. I dont believe they go through the intensne

mathematical caluclulations of bindus since they hardly find time to look at the

navasama.

I believe firmly that most of the basic fundamentals of predictive astrology as

laid down by prashara hold very good. AFter all experience does count and one

has to know how to fit pieces into the puzzle.

Again just my humble thoughts!!!

I wonder if the time of lottery can be excatly predicted by this system (not the

amount of money) but just lottery time of luck.

Well, I will continue my efforts to understand this system and try to rational

out the reasons and make the facts fit the theory rather than the theory fit the

facts.

best wishes

Ums
