Guest guest
Dear respected list members: Thanks for your reply Peter. I did what you said but I am confused because the navamsha is not calculating as I thought it to be. I am getting frustrated because this keeps happening, as my rahu/ketu axis seems to be very sensitive in the navamsha to minor changes in ayanamsha. When I offset the ayanamsha in JHL to match Krushna's ayanamsha for my birth data (-01:00:52) from Lahiri I got what seemed to be the correct navmasha according to krushna's system. However, offsetting the ayanamsha in PL the same it gives different position for rahu/Ketu axis - as it does when I use -00:26:03 offsetting Raman. I'm not sure of my birth time to seconds or even the minute, but there is a sensitvity of the time here and getting the correct chart is important for me now as I'm trying to get a grip on what is being taught here. I'm giving my birth details below, I hope I can get some help here. I don't want an analysis- that is what I want to learn to do but I need the correct chart first. my data (male) April 25, 1975 at 15:20 east york, ontario (5:00W) Canada If any other events or personal characteristics are reuired please do not hestitate to ask me, Right now my main concern is getting it right before moving onwards. Guest guest
Hi Puneet, I cannot tell you what is wrong with your settings. I had a great deal of trouble just trying to get a similar chart up because the twp programs gave different coordinates for York. Looking at the ayanamsas though GJ gave it 22-29-3 and PL 22-30-18. This is a fair difference and made much different lagnas but as I said I had great problems even getting a decent chart up from PL. Guest guest
Dear Krushnaji and Peter, Thanks for replying. I think I got it correct to my acceptance. I changed the option to mean rahu/ketu and I got what I think is correct as far as JHL was giving me with Krushna's ayanamsha. i don't know what the difference is - but hopefully you all are using mean rahu ketu in your studies/research. In the Toronto area there is North and East York as far as classified regions within the old York region. I am using the coordinates for east york : 43n41, 79w20 (5:00 W back then). Thanks to you both, and I feel better about going on. Happy Easter!
