As for the lagna, I also had doubts and tried both when I first came across this chart. But, as you pointed out, both lagnas leave some problems unsolved. I finally adopted the Taurus lagna for different reasons. The first one was the artistic career, but my reasons are linked to another system than the one we are studying here. The other one was that the TOB I retained comes from the man's biography, and the author got it from the mother's testimony. Of course, nothing is perfectly sure... Yes, you are absolutely right, Venus gets less points than Jupiter in this chart so I guess we don't have to delete the points. Concerning the effects of Jupiter in its sub-period, I think Jupiter in IV with more points could be responsible for giving a girlfriend. The reason for the trouble with the girlfriend is not quite clear: I thought it came from 4/10 relationship with the sixth lord, but maybe it's not the good reason.
