Do not get worried with the terms A,B,C, D and E. They are very simple. Go through the first few lessons and cast your worksheet. A = 8th house from the house under consideration B = house under consideration C = 5th house from B D = 10th from B E = 6th from B. All these are upchayas from house under consideration and its Karak i.e. House A. You have said " Heavens! I have Jupiter in Libra in Navamsa Lagna. Yet as I have got older, all desires have increasingly come under discrimination. How do you explain that? " I did not understand what you were trying to ask ? Can you please re-explain. I have Guru in navamsa Lagna Libra, and I thought , from what I had read or misread, about the venus-sun distance, being over 43 degrees ( I also have in rasi chart) gives an out of control venus.( desires). I thought this was also the problem with Jupiter in Libra. I have been twice 'widowed' but not actually married. Most jyotishi do regard my first partner and father of my 2 sons as my husband, and my fiancee who was also killed the same way, in helicopter crash, a year and four days after the first. But there were no problems in the relationships whilst they were alive. I always saw the deaths as Kuja dosha operating and not a delay or problem in marirage. When someone has such combinations there is inadvertently problems in their marritial life or no marriage or something or the other happens. I mean it certainly isnt " A happily married life " . These laws were given way back when and till today they hold true. Krushnaji has given a treasure of his teachings and they are written up by Donna Quinn and put up in the file section as lessons. W.r.t Terminiology thats a matter of adjustment. We can call it by terms or A,B,C,D or E or Karak, Phal,Phalit or samrudhi sthan or 8th from house under consideration,House under consideration, 5th from house under consideration, 10th from house under consideration or 6th from house under consideration, or upchaya from primary signifiator etc, those are just a matter of reference. Definition of marriage is probably different in west. We have had umpteen exchanges on this list w.r.t. understanding that with students from the west and in India. 5th house, 12th house, 7th house etc have been explained in detail with examples solved. If I get some spare time I shall dig that up but u can also do search. Examples of husbands death have been taken up as blind chart analysis and are documented as lessons in the file section. Exactly this combination is there. Venus in krittika and Guru in libra. Please go through them and do not worry about naming convention of houses thats a trivial thing.
