Hi! I'm trying to understand how the bindus/points are assigned to

each house and planet. Lesson 1, page 12 gives an example of a male

born in Nagpur; I can't understand how his lagna chart translated

into 1-8points on his astavarga chart.

 

Can someone please guide me?

Dear Mita,

 

I shall try to explain this.

 

Lets take Shani as an example.

Shani in that chart is placed in 3rd house. Now take Shanis BAV and

lets distribute the points.

 

Lets see how Sun distribues shanis points.

So step 1) is to find where Sun is in the chart.

Here Sun is in the 12th house. So

 

From 12th house distribute shanis points for sun.

So 12th house start to give points. So 12th, 1st, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 9th

and 10th house gets a bindu.

 

Then take Moon and see how it distributes shanis points.

Moon is in 7th house so from 7th house Moon distribues a bindu of

shani to 9th (3rd house from 7th), 6th house from 7th i.e. 12th house

and 11th house from 7th i.e. 5th house.

 

Similarly do for all other planets.

 

In other words you can also read it in this way. (lets keep the same

example)

 

If Shani is in 3rd, 6th and 11th from moon it will get a bindu

If Shani is in 1,2,4,7,8,10 and 11 from Sun it will get a bindu.

 

Similarly do that for Guru, Moon, Sun etc.

Once u do that Add all the points up and you will get SAV.
