Guest guest
Hello everyone I just joined the group and cant wait to get an understanding to the techniques discussed here. I love the predictive nature to Jyotish - that's whats attracted me to the subject. I am also at slightly more than a beginner level so I request your patience re elementary questions...I am eager to learn though. I have Goravani Jyotish Software and attached the setup screen for ayanamsha. Could anyone please advise what parameters I should use if my date of birth is 24 April 1966. Many Thanks and look forward to making some friends in this forum Bipin Cape Town, South Africa
Guest guest
Hello Bipin, It's very simple. In the main window go to " preferences " and choose " ayanamsa prefs " . In the bottom line called " user defined " you type the date of 24/02/0366 or 02/24/0366 depending on how your program functions (european or american display of day/month/year). In the prescession rate you type 50.33 and then click also in the bottom " use list also " Save these setting Some other things you could check are the following In same " Prefs " go to " other vavious prefs " and there make sure you use " mean node " for the Moon 365 days for the dasha/bukti periods, and " Vramahira " for the ashtakavarga bindu system. Save again these settings and your program will be all set to function according to the right parameters used on the list. I think that will do. Wellcome to the list and I wish you many happy hours of learning. Don't forget to download the lessons in the file section, these are essential to understand how the system works Best regards Margarita bipin.prag wrote: >Hello everyone > >I just joined the group and cant wait to get an understanding to the >techniques discussed here. Guest guest
Hello Margarita, Thank you for your recent message clarifying program settings. Perhaps it would be an idea, if it's a chart one's going to work on a lot, to also check in the excel sheet and align the ayanamsha for that date? Also, is it really necessary to use the mean nodes? In the lessons, we are once told to use the mean nodes, and they are indeed occasionally used in fact (e.g. lesson 23), but more often the true nodes are used in the examples (e.g; lessons 15 and 17, and other places which I haven't yet tracked down to quote now). I'm afraid that I took that as an " OK " to use true nodes if we wished, as I find they seem to work better for me in a couple of marginal cases, where they change houses. What do you think? Guest guest
Hello Graham, Sorry for this late answer; I was on a vacation and without connection whatever. I must say I did not focus on the mean or true nodes or did any research on them although I know that some astrologers find this topic important. As far as I know and remember Krushsna uses " mean " node in the KAS system, so I just use that. Sorry not to be of any help !! Btw, did you do any study on this male chart concerning loss of job ? Best regards Margarita Graham Fox wrote: >Hello Margarita, >Thank you for your recent message clarifying program settings. >Perhaps it would be an idea, if it's a chart one's going to work on >a lot, to also check in the excel sheet and align the ayanamsha for >that date? >Also, is it really necessary to use the mean nodes? Guest guest
Dear Margarita, Thanks for the answer. I'm afraid the Charleroi gentleman has rather found his way to the bottom of the pile, but it's stashed away in my computer and I'll try to get round to it. I wanted to see if it was necessary to adjust his birht time or not. Thanks Graham , margarita lettens <dmlettens@s...> wrote: > > > Hello Graham, > Sorry for this late answer; I was on a vacation and without connection > whatever. > I must say I did not focus on the mean or true nodes or did any research > on them although I know that some astrologers find this topic important. > As far as I know and remember Krushsna uses " mean " node in the KAS > system, so I just use that. > Sorry not to be of any help !! > Btw, did you do any study on this male chart concerning loss of job ? > Best regards > Margarita > Graham Fox wrote: > > >Hello Margarita, > >Thank you for your recent message clarifying program settings. > >Perhaps it would be an idea, if it's a chart one's going to work on > >a lot, to also check in the excel sheet and align the ayanamsha for > >that date? > >Also, is it really necessary to use the mean nodes?
