However I will like to make an attempt. I casted your chart and I think on Feb 19th 2004 your Grandmother (fathers mother) might have died. Father's mother u see from 11th house. (3rd from 9th). 8th from therein is 6th house. MD/AD running is Sa/Ju. Natural death happens in MD of 3rd lord or its SD. Here Venus is 3rd lord from 11th. Sa is SD to Venus so Sa can give results for Venus since Venus is aspecting house C i.e. 10th house keeping 6th as B. Jupiter is strongest significator for 6th house with 21 points. Jupiter has less points for health i.e. 6th from 11th house i.e. Fathers, mothers health. Also 3rd points are low i.e. 3rd from 11th i.e. lagna. Shani is not causing delay so event should happen in 1st sector itself so Feb 19th 2004 falls in 1st sector. Suns Transits on 19th feb was on sign / nakshatra of Mars and Saturn. So it can also be Fathers Younger brother (you just said Uncle which can be younger brother too) or Mother. They are natural samdharmis. In Vedic Astrology these planets are yogakaraks for each other. In KAS we consider them as natural Samdharmis. Similarly for Mars and Moon and Mars and Sun. In your chart Saturn and Venus are not in 1:7 in Rashi so they are SD. However Moon and Mars in your chart are not Natural Samdharmi as they are in 1:7 relation. Now you have asked a very interesting question w.r.t Strength of Shani. Observe closely, Moon is with 3 bindus and Shani is with 2 bindus. Here Moon in Malefic and if you go back to the conversation w.r.t SD's of 4:10 here Boss is malefic as well as the subordinate is malefic. They will help each other give malefic results. Here MOON will NOT HELP SHANI Give THE MOST AUSPICIOUS RESULT OF DEATH. Here take off the points of Moon. Death is most auspicious. If you read Dadhis quesiton hes asked about 1) Father (4th as B, considering 9th as Father.) 2) Grandfather (12th as B, considering 9th for father and 9th from there in as father's father so 5th house) 3) Grand mother (9th is father, 11th i.e. 3rd from therein is Fathers mother and 8th from there is 6th house which is Karak for death of fathers mother). 4) Uncle (Fathers brother.. same as point 3) 5) Aunt (11th is fathers younger brother, 7th from there is uncles wife, and 8th from there in is 12th for death). Before the answer came through, I was about to put in my (wrong) suggestion of uncle's or aunt's death, based on Ju AD lord triggering 6 (as Ld of 11) (6 being siblings of either parent, as well as particularly of mother), and the MD Lord Sa being natural SD to Ve which is in same house as Ju and thus SD to latter which is Ld of 3rd from 6... but I'll spare you further details, I've still got a lot of work to do! What I would like to know is, is there a way to distinguish between brothers and sisters and therefore also uncles/aunts? I notice that Ash had thought of the possibility of the death being of the father's brother or of that brother's wife (7th from brother). But what if it had been the father's sister? From you mail you over look something important. YOU DID SEE 11TH HOUSE TRIGERRING as MD that is MOST important. Out of 12 houses in a chart with the worksheet you were able to pin point the ONE correct house triggering. The next step is to find out who. So do not overlook this important factor. Using the Worksheet you were easily able to Hone in into the CORRECT HOUSE. You also picked up CLEARLY that Jupiter was Triggering 11th house being LoE for 6th house. So again Karak of 11th was triggering i.e. 6th house. So you could see 11th house and 6th house were triggering for MD and AD. So Major work you had done correctly. For the next part both you and me have same question that is we are going in deeper to find out who but we DO KNOW that its PERSONS REPRESENTED BY 11TH AND 6TH HOUSE AS A. But take a step back and see how you and me have done 80% of the work already.... The points are showing us something... what is it showing we have to practice.... and there can be no substitute for practice and experience. Cheers !!! I would also be very interested in hearing any reply you might have time to make to Donna's question about house 4 for mother (I usually find it works much better than 3, and 3 sometimes rather seems to represent end (death) of mother (as 12 from 4). For Dadhi's second question I would have been a bit unorhtodox and plumped for Sa/Ju, but since he tells us it was beginning of March it must have been Sa/Ra! A bit too easy, Dadhi, no? In the lessons it is stated that mahadasha lord should be the karak for house B or it should be placed in House A for event to trigger. Is natural death a special case in which we take the 3rd lord from A (LoD) as the Mahadasha lord? Can we apply this rule to any event? (Start of event... from intercourse.. 12th house). [Here A shows BEGINING of things] Now death of child you can switch A to B i.e. 8th from 5th = 12th house. So you make 12th house as B that will give end of 5th. [Here it shows END of things] Similarly for death. Make Lagna as B so house A becomes 8th house. Now to time death, make House A as B so 8th house becomes B. Now for death u consider EVENT as B so death is 8th house. So Karak for death is 3rd house i.e. House A. That is why Natural death happens in 3rd lord or its samdharmis MAHADASHA. Lagna and 5th house are E and D house and their lords are eager to give death. Similalry planets in Lagna and 5th house with more bindus are also eager to give death. Mahadasha shows Karaktwa, you can understand that from the link I have given. If say death happens in 2nd lords Mahadasha. 2nd is KARAK for 7th which is ACCIDENTS. So 2nd lord or its SD can show death by accident. So MD shows karaktwa. This is very important. It shows reason.
