Guest guest
Dear Dadhi, Think of it this way. When planet in 4th is with more points than planet in 10th AND planet is 10th is with less points i.e. 1,2,3 bindus then the 2 planets become samdhamri. For LoD or LoE the planet in 10th can have 4 bindus and planet in 4th from it can have 5,6,7 or 8 then too they become SD. That is the law. Now, SAMDHARMI means SAM = Similar and Dharmi = Duty. So what is the similar duty here. Both are malefic so both will HELP each other for similar things i.e. more malefic things. So for MAlefic things add the points that is the law. For death it is most auspicious event, do u think moon will help Shani give " MOST BENEFIC " event of death ? That is the reason we talk off those 15 points, as they are the strength given by Moon to HELP Shani give malefic result. However both are Samdharmi as per law i.e. both help each other.... for " what " that is different... I hope its clear. W.r.t your other question I shall answer later when I have some more free time. Guest guest
Dear Ash, Dadhi, Here are some doubts and my attempt: First of all, Sa Mahadasha only triggers hs2, hs3 and hs6. For this event, hs12 should trigger, so I don't know why this event happened in Sa Mahadasha. Answering from antras, neither ma, nor ra trigger hs12. And as per my data, sa/ju started only after 2003/5 so that is out of question. A more likely antra would be sa/mo that does trigger 12th and possible year seems to be 1998 (first sector). I would again need help I guess. There is another reasoning. sa/ma can give the event since, it triggers hs11 and it also implies that the death was due to accident. Will wait for your reply. Thanks & Regards, Manu , Ash Sam <ashsam73> wrote: > Dear Dadhi, > Think of it this way. Guest guest
Dear Dadhi, Here is my attempt. I would think that your Grandmother expired in 1st 1/3rd sector of Rahu antra in Shani main as per your choices. Rahu = Venus. Venus has 13 points for 12th. Mars I feel cant give results due to it being SD to Mercury who is 10th from 5th i.e. Karak for life. As for MD being Shani it might not be natural death. Shani is NK for 4th and 5th and FK for 12th and 11th house. So there might have been hospitilization or some long term illness. Rahu's first 1/3rd sector is from 2000-Jul-13 thru 2001-Jun-25. You have given death happened in March. So I would say in the first 4 days of March the event might have happened i.e. 1st thru 4th March 2001. Looking forward to your reply. Cheers !!! Guest guest
Thanks Ash for reference to Krushna's message on house for mother. I notice he seems quite open minded, and while prefering 3 for mother and 9 for father, he doesn't exclude absolutely the possibility of 4 representing mother and indeed 10 representing father. Just to suggest a way out of the problem raised by Manu about Sa MD triggering death of maternal grandmother: - If maternal grandmother is represented by H7 (4 from 4), then Sa MD Ld = Ld 9 (3rd from 7, triggering 8 from 7) as well as being SD to Ve (Ld of 1 triggering 6 which is 12 from 7) - so MD Ld could trigger death of maternal grandmother (if H7) by triggering either 6 or 2. Also, since Krushna does mention the North Indian approach of taking 4 for mother and 10 for father, I would just like to go back to the death of Dadhi's paternal grandmother, and point out that one of the very striking things in the transits over Dadhi's chart on 19 Feb is the very (5-10') applying conjunction of transiting retrograde Ju (Ld 8) to natal Venus. This was one of the things that led me to look in the direction of uncle/aunt (House 6, Libra). But notice that Venus is also Ld of 1, i.e. 4 from 10 (mother of father for some North Indian and most Western astrologers). The AD Ld is Jupiter (also the transiting planet conjunct natal Ve) Mercury is E for 12 and D for 8 (from 1 as perhaps representing paternal grandma). Ju is in navamsa of Mercury, and so can be SD for Mercury. (The D12 positions of Jupiter are also interesting: 8 from Venus and aspecting house 7). Jupiter is however very weak in WS for house 8, but is much stronger than Mercury for house 12, so maybe could substitute for Mercury to give effect of 12 (end of person represented by hse 1), and its transit would then also fit into the picture. Just a hypothesis! Must dash out now! Guest guest
Dear Dadhi, Sorry I didn't check properly and notice that there was also some of a month of March in the Mars AD, as well as in the Rahu AD. I notice that if we take H4 as representing mother, and so H7 for maternal grandmother, then Mars (as Ld of 7 Scorpio) is Ld of E for H2, which is 8 from 7. So Mars AD could trigger 8 from grandmother (or another person represented by house 7) in that case. - For Saturn MD, as I said in my previous message, if maternal grandmother is represented by H7 (4 from 4), then Sa MD Ld = Ld 9 (3rd from 7, triggering 2, i.e. 8 from 7) as well as being SD to Ve (Ld of 1 triggering 6 which is 12 from 7). So Sa MD Ld could trigger death of maternal grandmother (if H7) by triggering either 2 or 6. Concerning your paternal grandmother (if we took 10 for father, 4 for mother, and thus H1 for grandmother), I've also noticed that as well as Ju being SD to Mercury to trigger H12 (see my previous message), maybe Ju could be SD to Venus, Ld of 1, which could trigger 8 from 1 (1 is house E for 8). This would be because Ju is in the same sign as Venus, and although Ju has 5 AV points and Ve has 6, if the coefficients for sign placements are applied, we have to multiply Jupiter's points by 1.2 and Venus's by 0.5, ending up with 6 points for Ju and 3 for Ve. But I'm not quite sure if this is valid reasoning, perhaps somemeone coule advise -- does the new score taking into account the coefficient override the fact that Ju has 1 less absolute AV point than Ve, and allow Ju to substitute for Venus (remember they are in same sign in rashi), or does the coefficient simply modify the event without changing what gives what? Anyway, from what I understand so far, it would seem there might be two possible planets for which Ju could become SD: Mercury (triggering H12) or Ju (triggering H8), so a death of a person represented by house 1 would be possible on 19/2/04. In one of his books, K.N. Rao says we should consider both H9 and H10 for father. In Western astrology it's 10, and often in North Indian as well. I wonder if this is a cultural thing: in South India the father, as I understand, often traditionally represents a spiritual guide, a guru, whereas in the West, the traditional role has been more one of authority, inherited prestige/fame and often career in the world (or at least, preparing and leading the child towards a career). I would be very interested to have other views on these questions. Best wishes to all, and thanks again for the stimulating examples.
