Guest guest
Hello everyone, I would be very thankful if somebody could tell me that how do we determine that whether a moon is waxing or waning in a chart? Thanx Hamendra.
Guest guest
Hello Hamendra, To find uout if the Moon is waxing or waning look at the following. Find where the Sun is placed. The look at the position of the Moon, If the Moon is ahead of the Sun it means it is waxing and it will be waxing untill it becomes full or opposes the Sun. When it goes away from the opposition and is approaching the Sun again is is called waning. So waxing means, it becomes bigger, waning means it becomes smaller (if you look at it in the sky) Take this example. Sun is in 15° Taurus and Moon in 29° Taurus. Now Moon has just passed the Sun and is waxing until it reaches 15° Scorpio were we call it " full Moon " . From that point it becomes waning until it reaches the Sun and is then calles " New Moon " . Hoping it's clear now Best regards Margarita hamendra_c wrote: >Hello everyone, > I would be very thankful if somebody could tell me >that how do we determine that whether a moon is waxing or waning in >a chart? > >Thanx >Hamendra. > > >-\ - >*

Split the chart into 2 halves with just the Sun and the Moon and look at it this way. Since the Moon is the faster moving planet, as it approaches a conjunction to the Sun from the point of its earlier opposition to the Sun, it is waning. At the point of a full conjunction to the Sun it becomes a NEW MOON. As the Moon moves away from the conjunction of the Sun and approaches an opposition to the Sun it is waxing toward its fullest brightest. When it reaches the complete opposition to the Sun, it becomes a FULL MOON. Hope this helps. . Donna > > Thanx > Hamendra.> > > >
