Should be simple Kaimal. hs7 is partner.

3rd from hs7 is partner's mother (mother-in-law), 9th from hs7 is

partner's father (father-in-law).

What I find interesting is that father and mother-in-law shall get

the same house, and mother and father-in-law shall get the same

house.

I also found in a few cases that this seems to be the correct house

relationship.

What I get confused about is the fact that an event like death for

9th should be associated with father or mother-in-law? I would also

look at the 8th/2th house triggering since, 8th is misery for native

and 2nd is misery for partner. That might help us to distinguish.

Ash can provide further insight and correct any mistakes.

Thanks & Regards,

Manu
