Guest guest
Dear Anyone Sun is in house 5 with 3 points, Jupiter is 4 houses away in house 8 with 6 points. Sun's total points for A,B and C = 10, Jupiter's total points for A,B and C = 15. Row 5 says if planet in row 1 has less than 4 points add the points from row 3. Sun would then = 25 points in row 6, but Jupiter is LOD 6 should the Sun still get the additional 15 points? If yes then the quality is harmed because He gets points from LOD 6? Sorry but I wasn't very clear on this. Thanks REF
Guest guest
Dear Mr. 1115 Good point. As per my understanding, the points should be added, the planets strength does increase for the event. The event shall however, causes grief. BTW, we use LoD for Lord of house D, not as an acronym for Lord. So, for refering to Lord of 6th you can say L6 and LoD shall mean Lord of D. Good question. Guest guest
Dear REF, Just to make confirm. When you casted the chart were you using Krushnas ayanamsa and Varharamiras BAV Scheme. What is your lagna ? Cheers !!! Ash , " mr1115 " <mr1115> wrote: > Dear Anyone > Sun is in house 5 with 3 points, Jupiter is 4 houses away in house > 8 with 6 points. The lagna stayed in the same sign but Sun moved from 29:58 Libra H4 to 1:00 Scorpio H5 using Krushnas ayanamsa if I did everything correctly. I dont know about Varharamiras BAV Scheme, I dont know what that is. Thanks REF
Guest guest
Dear Ash, Mr 1115's email brought a thought to my mind. If we do not add the points for lord of 12th from B, then why do we add points for Lord of 6th? They too cause problems to the native. Would the following reasing be valid: Lord of 12th from B does not have strength enough to cause events to happen. It's association only spoils karak etc. Lord of 6th helps LoD and LoE to fructify the event, alas to give grief through it. Is this valid, or is their a flaw in the reasoning. Should we treat Lord of 2nd similar to lord of 6th. One interesting point that also came to my mind was that lord of 2nd is lord of 6th from 9th. Does that mean that 2nd's antra may be unfavorable for one's father too? I know this is not mentioned in the lessons so I may be wrong. Guest guest
Dear Mr 1115, I think you got the correct ayanamsa. Please check the ashtakavargas of the planets at their positions: They should be the following. su=4 mo=4 ju=6 me=6 ve=6 ma=3 sa=1 If you got these then you are using Varharamiras BAV. Thanks & Regards, Manu , " mr1115 " <mr1115> wrote: > , " ashsam73 " > <ashsam73> wrote: > > Dear REF, > > Just to make confirm. Guest guest
Dear REF I don't know if REF is your name. Kindly let me know how should I address you. Yes REF, you are right. Sun shall not get points. Also, there should be some setting in the software to select the type of ashtakavarga. Maybe you can try to set it appropriately. I looked on Jagannatha Hora Lite and I wasn't able to find a setting that would allow you to change the ashtakavarga calculations, but I did download a later version called Jagannatha Hora Lite 6.0. It will allow you to change the settings from Parasara's definitions to Varahamihira's definitions but either way I still got 3 points for Sun. I'm going to have another look at lesson 1 and see if I can do the calculations manually. Thanks REF
Guest guest
Dear REF, If you go into the Menu PREFERENCE, RELATED TO CALCULATIONS, ASHTAKAVARGA CALCULATION. The instructions are given in there. Hope this helps, Cheers !!! Ash ps : A request, can you add you replies on top of your mail rather than bottom. It just makes it easier to read. > > Dear Manu > Addressing me as REF is fine those are my initals my name is > Reginald I just use my initals as an abbreviation.
