When i finished lession-8, i am confused wiht some of the rules mentioned there. For e.g. rules for marriage, it says, " Planets having more points reduces the results of the houses that they aspect " . Standard rule in VA is if a planet is strong and benefic, it will be of benefic aspects or enhances. Here it is contracdictory, is't ? Am i missing something? Dictums mentioned here in KAS are in line with VA Parasara's? would appreciate your clarification which will help me to proceed further in my learning. A Malefic Planet is a planet with less than 4 bindu.. Planet with 4 bindus is neutral. Now Benefic Planet will have a malefic dristi. So if Jupiter gets 6 bindus then it will send -6 points dristi to 5th, 7th and 9th house unless he is LoD or LoE which is the exception then in that case the dristi will not be malefic this part is covered in the worksheet. All planets have 7th drsiti. Observe any chart for that matter closely. Sign of exaltation of a planet is always opposite sign to that of debiliation. I hope its clear. If you study the points allocation then you will notice that if the planet that is LoD or LoE we do not consider his malefic aspect. Your Venus is 2nd and 7th lord and placed in 4th house and assume its with say 6 bindus. Then it will aspect 10th hosue with -6 bindus. Now for 10th house if u see the worksheet, Venus is not LoD or LoE so its dristi will still be malefic. LoD and LoE are special. I hope I am not confusing all. Study the worksheet and thsi portion will be covered. Cheers !!! This will aspect 12th, 10th and 8th house. Now for 10th house Jupiter is LoD so it will not harm or be malefic to 10th house so we do not consider -6 dristi to 10th house.
