Dear Ash and other members

Could you (anybody) tell me what should be considered

as the 'birthday' of a firm?

a. The day the operations started (conceiving the name

or laying the plans or any other form of activity)

b. The date mentioned in the bank form regarding

starting of the firm.

c. The date the bank accepts to open an account for

the firm.

e. The date mentioned in a letter from Chartered

Accountant.

d. Any other (if so, possibly, what)

Besides what time should be considered for drawing a

rasi chart of the firm.

Thanks.

regards,

Amitabh.

Dear Amitabh:

There are two schools of thought on this: one says that we should use

the date and time of incorporation (signing of the legal forms) and

this would give us an outline of the company's performance in the

future.

However it is seen that things may be going well for the company but

th stock price is still going down(this is usually the case, since

the stock price is a lagging indicator); so some say that the DATE OF

AND TIME OF FIRST SALE of the stock is to be used if you want to

track the stock price (Ref: Planetary Stock Trading by Bill Meridian)

Learned members can correct me/provide additional information.

Dear Vijay

Thanks for the reply.

Mr. Krushna had informed in a previous mail that the

date of incorporation will be used a the 'birthday'

for charts.

My query was about proprietory firms, not the

incorporated companies.

Thanks.

regards,

Amitabh.

Hello Ash

Thanks for the info. After reading your mail I

remembered that either you or Mr. Krushna or other

list member had informed about the same.

My sweet memory!

Thanks.

regards,

Amitabh.
