It's very nice except for one thing. It doesn't have the ability to run Visual basic scripts and the KAS2005 is based on that. It can load the script so that you can analyze it and study it, but it can't run it unfortunately, so even if I tried to reformat things to convert it to OPEN OFFICE, it still wouldn't make a difference, sorry. Guest guest
Dear Donna Thanks for the information and the effort to convert the MS Excel document to OpenOffice requirements. I havent tried to work through the VBScripts. Yet if there is any sort of success then I will inform you. When there is a possibility I will try to open the document using MSOffice. Thanks. regards, Amitabh. On Sat, 15 Jan 2005 11:43:07 -0500, Donna Quinn <DQuinn12 wrote: > > > > > Dear Amitabh - > > > > Thanks for the reply. As mentioned in an earlier post. Yet if there is any sort> of success then I will inform you. Unfortunately, when you open up the program in OPENOFFICE, there IS no VBScript at all to read from. It simply doesn't copy it over at all. This is the reason that you get all those #MACROS? errors all over the place. It's looking for the MACROS from the VB scripts which just don't exist anymore. Basically the OPEN OFFICE program will be compatible for any Excel documents that do the basic NON macros, non-VB script type of thing, but once it becomes alot more complicated, it seems that they don't have the ability to make the proper conversions for it. Sorry, I tried. . . Donna
