Guest guest
Namaste, Ranganathan Aside from learning the KAS system, there are several books about jyotish for beginners. These are 1. " Elements of Vedic Astrology " by Dr. KS Charak 2. " Light on Life " , by Hart DeFouw. 3. " Hindu Astrology for the Western Astrologer " , by James Braha After reading these books, you should attend jyotish classes and symposiums offered by astrologers near your area. These classes can give you a better feel (and camaraderie with other students) for jyotish as practiced by professionals. Further, you should not neglect reading the classic literature in jyotish such as those written by Parasara, Mantreshwar, Varamihira and others. Above all, enjoy learning the various astrological techniques and see how they apply to you and others.
