Dear Anita,

Please visit http://krushna.sageasita.com website and download the

lessons.

I have casted your chart and none of the events match.

Also you have not given any problem, so sorry I am unable to help.

If you are interested to learn the system the lessons would be a

good start and yes you need to have a decent understanding of Vedic

Astrology. The archives and many charts that have been solved in

the archives are also a good resource for u to pick up the system.

If you have any questions on the system please feel free to post

them on the list.

Good Luck

Thanking you,

Cheers !!!

Dear Ash,

Thanks for going through my chart. But i wonder why the events do

not match as my date & time of birth is fairly accurate and was

distinctly noted by my father.

I have downloaded the lessons from the site and would attempt to

understand them.

Currently I am in the second cycle of sade-sati so lot of work

pressures, stress etc. I was expecting a promotion this year in the

current organisation but unfortunately it got stalled. Also I am

working in an academic institution. Do you see any change from the

academic area & further promotion. How's my chart from children's

point of view?

Anita

Dear Anita,

If you are confident that the time of birth is right then please

consider this to be a chart that is beyond my knowledge as of now.

Maybe once I gain further knowledge maybe I will be able to comment

on the same.

As per the code of conduct Krushnaji has laid down for us refer to

point 5.

Hi, Amit.

1 hour CET (Central European Time) was throughout 1971 - so same as 1 hour BST essentially that we use now for just Summertime.

Just be careful if you were born West of Greenwich meridian, as you were born in 1 hour EASTERN time correction, and if you were born WEST of Greenwich, some programs get misaligned as the calcs of Lagna degree get a bit crosswired.

hi sateesh, i believe i was born west of gmt, then how does the spreadsheet recognise this input

'Just be careful if you were born West of Greenwich meridian, as you were born in 1 hour EASTERN time correction, and if you were born WEST of Greenwich, some programs get misaligned as the calcs of Lagna degree get a bit crosswired.'

please can you explain this further

if i use west of gmt, there is a shift of the lagna by 1 house

how does one rectify or tell which is his chart??

Hi, Amit.

Is your place of birth actually LONDON, as in Central London? Or is it one of the towns in Greater London area?

Yes, I noticed the shift in Lagna too - the way to get around the problem with towns west of Greenwich is - instead of entering your birthtime as 20:40 (based on CET) - to enter 1 hour less, i.e. 19:40 GMT - that will take care of the problem for places West.

I make your chart (assuming it is London itself as place) to be around 1* Aries lagna.

Dear Amit

There was no daylight saving time applicable(i.e.

Clocks did not go back by one hour during summer)from

March 1968 to October 1971. So your birth time should

be GMT 20.40. Jhora and other software programs do

not automatically adjust this and assume that it was

summer time and hence show 1 hour reduction. The way

around this is by changing ihour reduction to ZERO.

Also make sure you are using Krushna's Ayanamsha when

using Jhora or any other software for calculation

before you compare the result with Spreadsheet.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes

Atma

Dear Amit

Error in my earlier mail.

It should say clocks did not go forward by 1

hour(instead of backward as mentioned in my earlier

mail).

Best wishes

Hi, Atma.

Actually it is GMT + 1 hour - CET - throughout that period. So 20:40 CET, i.e. 19:40 GMT.

Dear Atma and Amit,

Please see this link - British time was changed to CET (GMT + 1 hour) to be in synch with Europe - so 20:40 British time in 1971 was equivalent to 19:40 GMT.

Jhora and other software programs donot automatically adjust this and assume that it wassummer time and hence show 1 hour reduction. The wayaround this is by changing ihour reduction to ZERO.Also make sure you are using Krushna's Ayanamsha whenusing Jhora or any other software for calculationbefore you compare the result with Spreadsheet.I hope this helps.Best wishes Atma --- Sateesh Batas <makara wrote:> Hi, Amit.> > Is your place of birth actually LONDON, as in> Central London? Dear Amit,

Another link explaining GMT+1 hour being used when you were born (UTC being Universal Time, which is same as GMT) -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Summer_Time

" as was shown when the British Standard Time scheme was trialled >>>>between 1968 and 1971, when Britain remained on UTC+1 all year.<<<<"

Re: Re: Posting my chart for analysis

Re: Re: Posting my chart for analysis

hi sateesh, i believe i was born west of gmt, then how does the spreadsheet recognise this input

Re: Re: Posting my chart for analysis

hi

the dasa given by the spreadsheet differs from most other packages i have used..one is jhora 7.0 of narasimha rao

my details are 6 sep 71 20.40 , london

i am not sure about the daylight savings though; regardless, the spreadsheet says i am in venus/mars...others say venus/ moon

Please can someone take a look and clarify

many thanks
