Guest guest
A couple of questions: 1. What is the theoritical foundation for Krushna's ayanamsa? In the lessons, the author states: " I have chosen the starting date that both zodiacs coincided last as 24th Feb 366 A.D. On what basis is this date selected? 2. What offset (+ or -) should be applied to Lahiri in JHora to approximate Krushna? Thanks, Buz Overbeck

Guest guest
Dear Buz and Vijay, We are using Krushnas ayanamsa on the list and also in KAS program. This ayanamsa has come from Krushnajis guru and his gurus fore fathers and it was given in his gurus (Shri Brij Gopal Shastriji's) hand written book. Cheers !!! Guest guest
Dear all, I'm having the same problem. How and where do I find the " right ayanamsa " . In the lessons ?? in the KAS worksheet?? There are not the same. I have seen that this has been a topic for some time but a solution was never proposed. So what is exactly " Krushna ayanamsa " . Has it been found out ? Thanks Nils , " ashsam73 " <ashsam73> wrote: > > Dear Buz and Vijay, > > We are using Krushnas ayanamsa on the list and also in KAS program. > > This ayanamsa has come from Krushnajis guru and his gurus fore > fathers and it was given in his gurus (Shri Brij Gopal Shastriji's) > hand written book. > > Cheers !!! > Ash > > > , " Vijay Goel " > <goyalvj@g...> wrote: > > > > Respected Moderator > > > > Similiar query is with me, I am in chapter 7th are trying to > understand,to > > calculate strenth of planets. The example given there shows Gemini > lagna > > whereas by using Lahiri ayanamsa it come out to be Cancer lagna. > > > > Vijay Goel. > > > > - > > " Buz Overbeck " <buz.overbeck@g...> > > > > Saturday, October 08, 2005 4:06 AM > > Krushna's Ayanamsa > > > > > > > A couple of questions: > > > > > > 1. Guest guest
Dear Nils, Donna has explained all this in the past. In any case to answer your immediate question w.r.t proposed solution :- We have incorporated KAY values in the KAS2005 program. Please refer to those values. Sorry for the inconvenience that it may have caused. Cheers !!! Ash , " nils_bjorklund " <nils_bjorklund> wrote: > > Dear all, > I'm having the same problem. Guest guest
Hello Ash, thanks for the reply. Will you please answer question #2: What offset should one add or subtract (minutes and seconds) from Lahiri in JHora software to arrive at the correct Krushna value? Many thanks, Buz , " ashsam73 " <ashsam73> wrote: > > Dear Buz and Vijay, > > We are using Krushnas ayanamsa on the list and also in KAS program. Guest guest
Dear Buz, The exact value you can generate from KAS2005 program for the date you enter. Its approx 54 mins less than Lahiri. However the exact value you can compute the difference between getting the value from KAS2005 program and then finding the exact Lahiri value from say Jhora and doing the math. It will come to approx 54 mins less than lahiri. I hope that answers your quetsion. Cheers !!!
