I do not know whether I am in line with KAS or still confused. . Please correct it at your leisure & convenience and reply for further learning.I am trying different events to learn slowly.with your help and guidance. My research article “ Nadi Astrology-An Overview” was published in the Annual issue of January 2000 of “ the Times of Astrology” New Delhi. I got the prestigious Santhanam Award for 2001 for this as the best article on 14 April 2001 at Luknow City in North India, far off from my Hyderabad city, during an Astrology Conference held in the Shri Sanathan Guruji’s Ashram. I was honored with an Excellent Citation, Sandalwood statue of Goddess Saraswati, a very good shawl and Rs. 5000. I was also interviewed and covered in the newspapers. I have given these details to check them as per chart. Fro your ready reference, DoB 7 Sept 1938, ToB 08:56 hrs, PoB Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh state, India 18N07, 83E26 Rasi: Libra lagna, Venus & Rahu in lagna: Moon in Capricorn; Jup retro in Aquarius; Sat retro in Pisces, Ketu in Aries; Merc, Mars, Sun in Leo. Navamsha: Sagittarius lagna, Venus & Ketu in lagna; Sat in Aquarius; Merc, Mars Rahu in Gemini, Moon in Cancer; Jup & Sun in Libra. Article published in Saturn MD and Jupiter AD and Award given in Mercury MD and Mercury AD. Saturn MD is Karaka for 3rd (writings), 4th(happiness, knowledge), 9th(gurus), 10th (awards/ authority, respect), 11th (income). The mind set is on these aspects. Jupiter AD has highest points for 3rd in WS and LoD for 10th. So my article was published in Jupiter AD Mercury MD is Karaka for 2nd (money), 4th (happiness), 5th (brilliance), 8th (research), 11th(gains). The mindset is on these aspects. Mercury AD though has 7 points for 10th; its SD Mars has 22 points. Mars is LoD for 10th, LoE for 2nd, LoD for 5th, LoE for 9th. (Long journey, gurus)). Mercury AD is LoD for 3rd, LoD for 12th (long journey), LoE for 4th, LoE for 7th ( travels). So Mercury AD gave award, respect, happiness, money, and association with Guru. The SAV points on 14 April 2001 are 200 and Jupiter+ Saturn=10, both very favorable. In Ju antra inside Shani MD will have the above flavours. Ju is powerful period as per my previous email that those times would be excellent. Here it means that the award was " conceived " inside Sa/Ju. Ju is very powerful for all 12 houes for u. Its LoE for 10th and has good power in 1st house too i.e. it has highest points for 1st house. LoE for 1st and 10th. In Mercury MD, your life's outlook will change. When you were given an award might be different from when it was conceived that u are to get the award. You have not given the date when the award was conceived. From your post I gathered that you published the article in Jan 2000 and u received the award on 14th April 2001. I.e nearly after 1 year and 4 months. MD of Mercury started on 20th of May 2000. So here I can say that Upon start of MD of Mercury your focus in life must have shifted to karaktwa denoted by Mercury as u have given. So 8th, 11th, 5th and 2nd and also 4th house (as Mercury is placed in 11th house with 5 bindus) so in Mercury MD all the antras will have this flavour. Your analysis on SD is proper. Since all the articles published in 2000 from January to December 2000 had to be reviewed, it was possible the award was conceived after December 2000. Ofcourse, if the Management had already decided to give the award to me after my article in January 2000, we could say that the award was conceived before May 2000 itself in Saturn MD and Jupiter AD. You said in your earlier mail, that Jupiter is SD to Sun and Venus, since Jupiter is with Sun and in Libra in Navamsha. Can I understand that Venus and Sun in their Antras, would give the results of Jupiter who is powerful for all the houses? If so,for example, for 5th and 7th, Venus and Sun have got low points <12 and Juipiter has got high points >12, can I expect better rsults for 5th and 7th in Venus AD and Sun AD in MD of Mercury? I am still not clear with the application of SDs, which I am sure that I will get it with your patient guidance. Reply whenever you are free. Now there is a difference between Ju being SD to Venus and Sun. Here Jupiter is in navamsa of Venus so its SD to Venus. It means that if for some reason Venus is unable to give result i.e. first of all Venus must be in a position to give result i.e. say its points are high, status etc then say if it aspects a primary significtor house for the event under consideration then in that case Jupiter if it gets a chance it will give the result for Venus provided Jupiter is good and strong. For Sun, Ju conjoins Sun in navmsa. So both become SD to each other however of a weaker quality. I think that is given in some mail in the archives by Krushnaji. So here for some reason if sun is unable to give result then Ju can step in and vice versa, i.e. if Jupiter is unable to give result and if Sun gets a chance then it will help Jupiter.
