Beginner's Baby Steps

Dear All,

 

I find KAS system very intimidating but I want to learn it so I will

describe my baby steps and hope that I will be corrected as

necessary.

 

Ascendant in my chart is Gemini. I am running right now Rahu/Sun

dasa. Rahu is placed in 1st house and Sun is placed in 6th house.

Rahu is samdharmi of Jup. Sun is the lord of 3rd house. Therefore

resulting events will be coming from 4th (6th house) and 8th (10th

house) from 3rd house. Also results will be coming from 9th (4th

from Sun) and 1st (8th from Sun) houses.

 

Now focusing on 10th house, taking 10th house as B, A is 5th house,

C is 2nd house, D is 7th house and E is 3rd house.

 

Am I right so far?

me wherever i am wrong so it would help me.

If sun's antra is going on.

It would give result for 4th(scorpio) and 8th(pisces) house from leo.

If sun is having more than 4 points... it would give result for the

house 4th(aquarius) and 8th(gemini) from where its placed in your

chart(scorpio).

It would give results for the house which are having more points in

WS.... if keeping 10th house as B check the points in WS for H10 for sun.

Secondarily it would give results if applicable similarly for the

planets for which sun is samdhari.

Hi Pratap,

 

let's keep your chart aside for sometime. Trust me if you really

want to learn, keep your chart aside. I know it's human tendency to

look at our own chart first, so much so that if we come across

certian combinations in some book or lessons, we first try to match

it with our own charts. :-)

 

Go to archives, there are many many charts which you can start

solving blindly and check if you are doing right or not and then of

course we are all here to help each other.

Thanks. You say " If sun is having more than 4 points... " . Do you

mean to say if Sun is having more than 4 points in Aquarius then it

would give results of Aquarius house and if it is having more than 4

points in Gemini, it would give results of Gemini?

 

Would these results be in addition to the results of Scorpio and

Pisces ?

Dear Manoshi,

 

I appreciate your suggestion but I feel that I know my life better

than anyone elses. And I have gone thru almost every kind of event

in my life. Therefore I would like to continue using my chart if you

do not mind, until I get the basic principles of KAS clear in my

head. Once I feel comfortable, I can start looking at other charts.

No sir,

say if your sun is in scorpio with more than 4 points then it would

again give results for 4th from it(aquarius) and 8th from it(gemini).

this would be in addition to 4th(scorpio) and 8th(pisces) from leo.

Dear Pratap,

In general terms :

during antra of a planet, it would give result for the houses 4th and

8th from the sign which happens to be of that planet.

(as the 4th sign happens to be the house D for that planet and 8th

happens to be house E for that planet. the houses for which planet is

lord of D and lord of E.. gives results for that house.)

 

in addition to that if the planet has more than 4 points in the house

its situated in the rasi chart... (it would act as lord of that bhava

where its stiuated and it would give results for 4th and 8th house

from that house). this wont be the case if the planet is less or

equal to 4 points in the bhava(house) its situated in.

i hope i am not confusing.

everything is given in the lessons.. if you go thru them again you

would find them.

reading the archives would help a lot too.

i know everyone knows about their life more and hence want to check

the rules if it works for them.. i had the same thinking. but for that

we have to learn the subject and for learning if we take other charts

we dont get baised and try to think with a broader horizon as to y it

happened.. i am junior to you in age and knowledge so dont want to

suggest you anything.. but reading the archives and the charts given

there would help you learn subject faster and then you can apply and

see in your chart.

Got it. Sun has 4 points in Scorpio. Therefore I should be expecting

results of only Scorpio and Pisces in other words results of 6th and

10th house from leo.

A planet with 5,6,7 or 8 bindus in any house, will be eager to give

result (timing of event), for the 4th and the 8th house from where

it is located.

 

Say Mars is in 4th house of the chart with 5 bindus. Then in its

antra, results of 7th house and 11th house will be experienced.

 

Reason: Mars goes into House E for 11th as B and Mars goes in House

D for 7th as B and we know from our basic laws, that planets with

more bindus (5,6,7 or 8) in House D or E are eager to give result

(timing of event).

Dear Ash,

 

Thank you for your patience. But this is such a important concept

that I want to understand it with absolutely no doubt.

 

Let us say, the antara is of Sun and Sun is placed in 6th house with

4 bindus. Therefore should I interpret that Sun is not eager to give

results for 9th and 1st house?

 

Now Sun has 5 points in 2nd house. Therefore can I consider Sun

eager to give results for 5th and 9th house?

 

So the real question is whether you look at only the house where the

antara lord is placed or you look at the all the houses where antara

lord has more than 5 points. Of course, the results will be

experienced in the 4th and 8th house from the house with points > 4.

 

I have printed all the lessons and gone thru at least once. I just

read lesson 4 one more time after your email. But still not

positively clear. I guess this is why one needs a guru or a guide.

Dear Harjeet,

 

In this case the dasa is Jup/Sun. Sun is placed in 6th with 4 bindus

and therefore not eager to give result. Which planet we look up to

give results? Would Jup, MD lord, placed in 4th house with 6 bindus

be eager to give results of 7th and 11th houses?

Dear Pratap,

Though you asked your query to Harjeet, I take oppurtunity to answer your

doubt for the learning purposes. I think you are talking about the chart born on

18 Nov 1944. If it is so then running MD lord is Ra and antara is Su and not

Ju/Su.

Let us talk about Su antara. Su occupies 6th house with 4 bindus and conjoined

with Me and Ma.In this case Su becomes SD to Me. Since Ma is 6th lord and in 6th

house so I do not consider the Su becoming SD to Ma. However Su is in 6th house

therefore it looses its status.Though Su and Mo are not considered with 6th

house effect still some side effect has to be experienced.

Now coming to your point. Su has lordship of 3rd house. It is LoD for 6th

house and LoE for 10th house. Su will give the event of 6th house (job, debts,

disease) and 10th house ( authority, status). Su has > 12 points for these two

houses so benefic results should be experienced. For 6th house LoD Su is in

house B with LoB Ma and LoA Me. So Su antara is good for Job concerned. Since

Me is karaka for 6th and it is just equal to 12 points in WS and two malefics Sa

and Ra occupies its karak sthaan result will not be experienced to the

satisfaction level.

Su is SD to Me who is lording lagna and 4th house.So during Su antara the

event of Me dealing houses will also be experienced.Me is LoD for 4th and 7th

house.On the other hand it is LoE for 8th and 11th house.All these

4th,7th,8th,11th,6th and 10th houses are involved with Job,services, status and

authority and speculation during Su antara. Me is strong in all the houses and

Su is also strong in all these houses concerned except 7th and 11th house.

There seems to be good and bad results pertaining to health, accident or

authority.This has to be analysed each and every house independently.This

gentleman has good intelligence and memory.May have good position in his service

at the appropriate time, not at this moment, I think so.

Dear Ramesh,

 

I have been able to understand some of the analysis that you

provided so far. I have one question, which house is associated with

speculation? I went thru lesson 4 and 5 carefully and can not find

it mentioned. Did I overlook?

 

The reason I am focusing on speculation is that this native started

heavy speculation in stock market starting 6/6/06, after long

absence from the market. Results are promising so far.

 

Also about job, about at the same time, the native gave up looking

for job and focusing on developing own business in real estate,

mortgage and life insurance. Of course, all of these are service

businesses but not on salary. So I think they have to be considered

business rather than job. Just thinking loud.

 

Based on your analysis, I understand that Su and Me are going to be

the active planets during Su antardasa. Is my understanding correct?

Dear Manu/Sateesh,

5th house is for speculation and 9th house is for luck right ?

if an antra of a planet has more points for both 5th and 9th..

a) speculation can favour him ?

b) but if in same antra 11th has low points and 12th more..

b1)does it mean he would loose thru speculation ?

b2)or it means he would gain thru speculation more because of more

points for 5th house and wont have much income as 11th is having low

points during that antra?

Dear Harjeet, Pratap, Manu and Sateesh

 

Harjeet, take a concrete chart. That way you can cover the SD, MD,

AD, Sun's transit.

 

I believe, Pratap, has done some speculation and had some major up's

and also down's, study those, pratcically and scientifically, and

since you have verified his chart, then it means logically that all

events should also be in line. If Pratap voluneteers to give those

times, and help out folks, it will be good.

Dear Ramesh,Manu,Harjeet,Sateesh,

 

Ramesh pointed out that in Sun antara, results of 4,6,7,8,10 and 11

will be experienced. There please explain how the 5th house of

speculation came into play. It may be obvious to you guys but I

could not figure out.

Dear All,

 

First, I brought up the subject of speculation, because that is a

definitive activity that started on 6/6/6 (Su antara started on

6/22/06). That is why I was wondering if speculation is represented

by one of houses from 4,6,7,8,10 or 11. The other major change since

the beginning of Su antara was the native's focus has gone from job

to business (houses 6 and 7?).

 

I am not sure if exact dates of speculation in the past can be

found. The last activity started sometimes in 97 and ended in

2000/2001 at the time of market crash. It is such a painful memory,

that all the details are kind of blanked out. But it can be

described as starting at a base of 20, going to 100 and ending at 10.
