Guest guest
Dear Ash and Donna, To day I was going through the lesson 6 to calculate the KAY manually as per the formula given in lesson. After that I found the differences is ayanamsas in the chart with that of manual calculation. I may be wrong while calculation ..Please correct me if I am wrong. Here is the example. A person is born on 31 jul 1946 at the time of 08:03 AM in the place of 24 N 46,84 E 23 in India. According to the lesson 6 , total days up to 31 Jul is 212 divided by 365.25, then multiply by 50.33 sec which comes out as 29.2 sec roughly 29 sec. KAY in the year of 1946 is 22:04:23. 29 sec will be added to this KAY value which equals 22:04:52. When the chart was casted using the program KASv 3.1.1, I am getting KAY as 22:12:56 which is 8 min 4 sec more. In earlier versions also it is more. So I want to confirm whether my calculation is wrong as per the formula or is there anywhere wrong in the calculation of program. Thanks and regards. Guest guest
Dear Ramesh, I am getting value of KAY from lesson for the year 1st Jan 1946 as 22:12:26. Now if you add 29 seconds to it then the value is 22:12:26 + 0:0:29 = 22:12:55 The value given in the KAS2006 program is 22:12:54 so a difference of 1 second that is tolerable. Maybe you have the old KAY values when that error had crept in which was subsequently corrected. http://krushna.sageasita.com/pdf/lesson06.pdf You can download the latest lesson on KAY and re check the values and I think everything will be in line. Cheers !!!
