Hallo Members,

I have an astrology/math related question. I would be

obliged if one of you could be of help to me. Could you

explain to me how to find out if a planet is

retrograde or not based on the longitude of the

planet? Without using Ephemeris data, the question is, is there a

method known in ancient times when databases like the Ephemeris were

not available and sheer astronomy/math calculations would be the only

means to the solution

I could attached information on how to calculate the

retrograde of planet, but some how the calculation(s)

is failing or giving wrong results? Especially Mercury

and Venus are tricky planets to detect if they are

retrograding or not.

Does anyone have any hint(s) with respect to this subject?

A reaction to my private mail: mani246 would be appreciated.

Regards,

Mani
