Guest guest
I calculated my chart using the newest spreadsheet and got a different lagna degree than what Ash has on his website. He has 19Sc23 as lagna degree with 22:29:44 as KAY. However, I get 17Sc36 as lagna with 22:29:46 as KAY. In lesson 6, the KAY for 1966 is given as 22:21:10. Can somebody help me understand the discrepencies. Thanks Shashank
Guest guest
I did the calculations manually for KAY - Days from Jan 1st 1966 = 149 149 * 50.33/365.25 = 20.53 = 21 seconds (rounding up) So, the KAY should be 22:21:10 + 21 seconds = 22:21:31. I am obviously doing something wrong. Can somebody please help. Guest guest
Another confusion - Lesson 6 in the files section (Word Document) has different KAY values than the acrobat reader (PDF) files on Donna's site. Which one is correct? Guest guest
I did the calculations for KAY manually all the way from 24th Feb 366. My numbers are closer (not exactly the same) to the ones in PDF files on Donna's site. The reasons they do not match exactly is the confusion I have on the yearly increment - is it 50.33 or 50.96. This minor difference makes huge difference. I am hoping either Ash or Donna can help. Guest guest
So assuming the KAY calculation is correct, I am still getting different lagna degrees. Guest guest
Dear Shashank, Force a recalc in the program. You might have closed your program and then reopened it. I have noticed such things happening in the past as well. So this is what you do. You should force a re-calc. Which means you can just go back into your birth data entry page, change your time by a minute and change it back to original. That will cause the KAS3.2.1 program to re-calculate, setting the lagna right. The ayanamsa in the KAS3.2.1 should be accurate. Cheers !!!
