Guest guest
Dear Ash, Was going through lesson 8 on samadharmi and here is the exact quote " When two planets are in one sign AND in one constellation they are said to be of similar nature " This would indicate that both conditions have to be met. So planets have to be not only in same sign but in same nakshatra(constelaation) as well to count as samdharmi. Also what hppens to Rahu and ketu if rahu happens to be in nakshatra of ketu ( This part is covered in one of the KAS FAQs) and ketu happens to be in nakshatra of rahu. Take rahu in magha(simha rashi) and ketu in shatabhisha(Kumbha rashi). Now how will we treat smadharmi? Thanks Satish ______________________________\ ____ Never Miss an Email Stay connected with Mail on your mobile. Guest guest
Dear Satish, Planets become samdharmi when 1) They are in same sign. (they might be in different nakshtra in same sign, still they become sd) 2) Same nakshatra - (say mercury is in 29th deg of Sag and Moon is in 1st few deg of Capricorn means they are in same nakshtra but in different sign, still they become SD, but of weaker grade). 3) Planet that are in same sign and same nakshtra are strong. 4) Planet that are in same sign and same nak and are < 3deg20 with each other means they will also conjoin in navamsa so they become even strong sd. So like that. About Ra and Ke, its given in Donna's site and the procedure to calculate that. If Ra is in sign of sun and nak of ke and ke is in aqu and nak of ra Ra is SD to Sun & Ketu (SD to Sa and Ra) So take power of Sun from where Ra is situated and take power of Sa from where KE is situated and then follow the procedure giving in FAQ section. Cheers !!!
