Guest guest
Hello all, This is my very first time attempting to solve a chart, and this is not a cop-out!!! I have done a lot of work myself, for about five hours last night, and am listing my work, and asking for assistance and correction where necessary, especially on determining Mahadasha and Bhukti, because Samdharmi rules and strengths are so complicated to me at this point! I very much appreciate your consideration... Last night I spent the better part of the evening working on a male's chart attempting deduce the marriage date; he's a friend of my father's, and I told my father to write down his date of marriage for me to check against my deduction once I'm reasonably sure I've figured it out; I've done the worksheet and marriage and divorce indications and figured out most functional samdharmis, however, I am stuck in attempting to determine mahadasha and sub periods based on samdharmi. He was born on May 19th, 1971 at 2:00 a.m DST and EST in Kingston, Ontario, 44n17, 76w30. Using KAS, for Aquarius Lagna, moon has 6 points in Lagna, mercury has 5 points in the third, venus has 4 points in the third, the Sun and Saturn have 3 points in 4th, jupiter has 4 points in the 10th, and mars has 2 points in the 12th. As far as status of Karaka; Venus is in the nakshatra of Aswini, so unspoiled; venus is not associated with, nor aspected by saturn in the Rasi OR Navamsa; Venus is NORMAL in regards to relationship with sun, being a healthy 30 some degrees away, and is not with mars in the Rasi or Navamsa. Additionally, Jupiter is not in Libra; The 12th lord from B (moon) is not in B; 12th from B (moon) doesn't aspect A, B, C lords (sun and moon). So Venus is fine; correct me if I'm wrong. PLANETARY STRENGTHS WORKSHEET: ONLY THE MOON HAS LESS THAN 12 (11); FOR POSITIVE RESULTS: mars-47 pts venus-28 jupiter-26 mercury-20 saturn-17 sun-14 Now, PLANETS ASPECTING A,B,C UPACHAYAS CAN'T GIVE RESULTS-- mars has 8th sight on B moon has 7th sight on B Jupiter has 5th sight on A so mars, moon, and jupiter can only act through samdharmis FUNCTIONAL SAMDHARMIS: mercury and venus ( both in Aries and Aswini) sun and saturn (both in Taurus and Krittika) Based on Tenth house theory-- Jupiter with 4pts in 10th from moon with 6 points; since planet " A " - moon has more points than jupiter, it acts as functional samdharmi to jupiter mars in 10th from mercury and venus with 2 points; venus is neutral so can't be samdharmi to mars; however mercury has 5pts! So Mercury functional samdharmi to mars. Also, moon being functional samdharmi to jupiter in 4:1o relationship, aspects house B, so Sun's transit through sign Aquarius and nakshatra P. Bhadrapada IMPORTANT. Rahu in Aquarius and nakshatra of Dhanista Rahu samdharmi to saturn and mars Ketu in Leo and nakshatra of Ashlesha Ketua samdharmi to sun and mercury NATURAL SAMDHARMIS venus-saturn; mars-moon; mars-sun 12th lord from B (moon) in fourth from jupiter--JUPITER SUB GIVES BAD RESULTS FOR MARRIAGE. so mars, venus, mercury, saturn, and sun in that order are best significators. Only venus, mercury, saturn, and sun can give results directly Mars wants to give results most, so most likely it's samdharmi will come forward for sub. MAHADASHA: usually in Karaka main-venus; however venus main is from 2/7/2026- 2/7/2046, and he is already married!!! --so samdharmi acts for venus main---the natural samdharmi strongest-- which is saturn, since venus and saturn not in 1:7 relationship. IS THIS CORRECT? Saturn main occurs from 2/8/1983-2/8/2019 (12-31 yrs old) ANTARDASHA: Natural samdharmi for strongest positive significator mars: sun, moon Functional samdharmi for mars: mercury, rahu HOW CAN I DETERMINE STRENGTHS AND NARROW ANTARDASHA FROM HERE? ADDITIONALLY, I'M NOT SEEING DELAY IN THE CHART; SINCE SATURN DOESN'T ASPECT A,B,OR C, PLUS SATURN IS ASPECTED BY JUPITER. Can someone take me through the final steps please? Ash, it seems you are the most knowledgeable member, and I would appreciate your input. Thanks, Tom
