second attempt at marriage...

Hello all;

I am quite pleased with myself in that I have gone back and attempted

to see the logic of the correct answer; I have succeeded; if you go

back and read my final post before I posted the answer solving down to

PDF, you will notice that I narrowed down functional samdharmis for

the second highest significator, mars, to mercury and rahu.

I assumed that mercury would give result, regardless of coming later

than rahu, because mercury was in secondary upachaya with more points.

In retrospect, mars at a ridiculously high point total, greater than

20, didn't care that mercury was more willing; it made rahu more

willing by transferring it's own superceding eagerness to the earlier

sub...

I'm just trying to understand. Also, if you pull up a transit chart

for the actual date of marriage, you will see that the two highest

significators, mars and jupiter, are both in a primary upachaya house,

A, if you transpose the ascendant of the natal onto the transit. I

supose this means something, although I only recall the moon's transit

being important through secondary upachayas in the lessons. I'm still

confused about PDF somewhat, but I am trying, BY GOD, I'm trying.

astrology; he has an adopted daughter. I'm going to attempt this

chart, and welcome everyone else to do so.

for the chart in my original post " second attempt at marriage " , the

native is a male with

Taurus Ascendant, with sun in Gemini with 3 points, moon in Aries

with 6 points, mars in Cancer with 3 points, mercury in Cancer with

5 points, Jupiter in Aries with 5 points, venus in Gemini with 5

points, and saturn in Aries with 4 points.

Taurus Ascendant makes more sense than Aries, because the native is

not brash, egotistical, or hotheaded, so 30 points better represents

than 36.

Dear Tom,

Are you sure about the lagna of the native ?

As you said country of birth place is Zimbabwe so TZ for this country is in

east of GMT. In this case it should be -2:00 hrs and not as +2:00 hrs.

Taking TZ as -2:00 hrs the lagna comes as 6 Pi 43.

Before proceeding further let us confirm the lagna first.

Dear Tom,

The convention we follow as per KAS program is that India is IST -5:30

so a if u are going east then use -

Some softwares use IST +5:30 and some use it as IST -5:30. KAS

program is using IST -5:30 being 5 hrs and 30 mins east of GMT.

So use -ve for East of GMT for KAS program.

Hello all;

I agree with a Pisces Ascendant now, but am having problems

understanding the way the program tallied points, in this instance:

Under 10.3 Planets aspecting upachayas, mercury with 5pts aspects C,

but it shows aspect value of zero????!!!! WHY????

Hello again,

I have another question, this time on Lesson 8: Samdharmis...

In figure 4 in the lesson, with regard to planet " Q " being the

powerful significator for the event in life with respect to House B

indications, DOES IT HAVE TO BE THE HIGHEST POSITIVE SIGNIFICATOR,

OR IF SEE EVIDENCE OF BAD EVENT, CAN IT BE THE MOST POTENT NEGATIVE

SIGNIFICATOR?

Just to notice...

At the bottom of H1, H2 etc, the strenght of the planets is shown, with

points and rank. However, in the latest version of KAS ie.3.2.1., there are

points and rank, but the name of some planets are missing in some, like H1,

H3... sometimes 1 planet (easy to solve), sometimes 3 planets....

Someone here who has similar problem?

Yet another question: For lesson on Venus and points in all twelve

signs, under venus in house indications, for example, in point 8;

when it says that if saturn GIVES MORE POINTS for where venus

situated, does that mean ONLY BY ASPECT ON THE HOUSE, OR ALSO BY

CHECKING SARVASHTAKAVARGA TABLES, TO SEE SATURN'S VALUE IN THAT

HOUSE????? If yes, how do you rank each, in terms of power?

Dear Tom,

Just read the lessons carefully.

The aspect of LoD or LoE cannot be taken as malefic.

So now u are seeing 7th house so Mercury is LoD and Saturn is LoE.

Now if they are with more points and aspecting 2nd, 7th or 11th means

A,B or C or their lords then we cannot take the malefic aspect.

So for example in this case Mercury is with 5 bindus and its placed in

5th house so from 5th house it will aspect with -5 HOWEVER SINCE ITS

LOD SO WE CANNOT TAKE -5 ASPECT, INSTEAD WE MAKE IT 0, WHICH IMPLIES

THAT WE ARE NOT REDUCING THE POWER.

In other words, LoD and LoE cannot do harm even if they aspect House

A, B or C or their lords, infact they will become eager to give results.

So like that for all houses, similarly take 11th house, then Mercury

is LoE and its placed in 5th house so its malefic aspect on 11th house

cannot be taken so there also it will become 0.

I hope this is clear.

All this is given in initial lessons. LoD and LoE and House D and E

are very special houses.

Dear Tom,

It means that the place where Venus is situated the bindus in SAV of

Venus.

Say Venus is placed in 5th house with 6 bindus then its more than 4

bindus so thats what it means.

More points means more than 4 and from SAV in that lesson.

Since I was originally operating under the basis of a chart for plus

2 GMT, I came up with an answer, and gave it to the native, who then

told me I was four years, and two months off; Disheartened, I went

back to see what I had did wrong, then was told here that it's -2 GMT

Dear Tom,

Also check the chart from Aqu lagna. Lagna is 6 deg pisces.

Just assuming that given time is accurate might not always be correct,

one must make the effort of first verifying the birth time accuracy.

Here your calculations are correct, i.e. There is delay using Pisces

lagna. Sa is in 2nd house and in 10th from Me and Sa is LoE so there

might be delay.

With Aqu lagna there is also delay but there is blessing in navamsa as

Sa and Ve are in 5:9.

Also find out what was considered delay as per Zimbabwe standards when

this gentleman's was growing up. In some communities marrying at 25

might be considered delayed as well if the person says that the birth

time is accurate.

If its accurate then see if other things are matching such as period

of worries, expenses, child birth, divorce times etc. If everything

else is matching except the marriage time then we can study it further

to see what we r overlooking or missing in our calculations.

for study purposes, its always good to take charts where the birth

time is accurate, so that way, atleast mentally u are assured that if

u are not arriving at the correct time of marriage it means there is

problem with the calculation, otherwise if no events are given then

there are 2 factors that might be the reason which are inaccurate

birth time OR error in calculation.

Timing of event is a very precious thing. For that make sure that u

are working with proper data and take your time and try to see from

all angles. I think u are doing that so just make sure that the

effort u are putting in is on accurate data. Otherwise that will lead

to disappointment and for that you must be prepared.

Just try to understand what I am trying to say.
