Dear friends, If the sat is in Aries, it has a Multiplication factor of 0.4. But If this sat is retrograde, we say its strength is enhanced. Now should we increase the MF or How we will use this increased strength in predictions ? I am not clear on this point. Pls suggest. Thanks & Regards, Raj Rajesh

Dear Raj,

Good question. I am giving my current

understanding.

MF is based on the concept of sthanbala,

so you will notice that a planet in house of enemy will have low MF. So, if

antra of a planet is running with low MF, more and more obstructions are felt.

The native might have to put in more effort to get positive results.

Retrograde planet enhances the results.

So, I would assume that the planet that is retrograde with low MF will enhance

the results in the sense that if will cause increased problems. If MF is positive

and planet is retro then the good result will be enhanced. So, consider

retrogression as an amplification of the results. The results can be positive or

negative.

There are certain other aspects of

retrogression concept but let us keep that for later.

Thanks & Regards,

Manu
