Dear Ash and group, Recently was reading an archive post by Krushnaji, where for blessings, lagna lord and 9th lord both were placed in one sign. But their mutual distance in sign was more than 12 deg, so the relation between father and native was deemed as 2:12 (5pts) instead of 7:7(10pts) in ratio, not so good, or living separately somehow. Can this rule be applied for Samdharmi concept? I mean to say can Samdhrami planets work with more strength and give event more vigoursly for each other within 12 deg in a sign? Considering that planets are samdharmi within a sign or 4:10 ratio, or in in one

Nakshatra and their explained very well in lessons. Regards Anup

Dear Anup,

When planets are in 1 house then they are

Samdharmi.

Now say if u are checking 1:7 relation and

both planets are in 1 house. Say Gemini is lagna and u are checking the

relation of Mercury and Jupiter then in that case, if both of them are in 7th

house then they are both in 1:1 or in Kendra. So the power will be as such.

Now to go deeper and find their relationship say if they are more than 15

degrees apart then they will act like 2:12 means they might step in for each other

but there will not be good relationship between the 2 lords and if they are

less than 15 deg then its like 4:10.

Now the principle is the same. If both

planets are in 1 house i.e. lagna lord and 9th then both are SD to

each other. Now if the lagna lord and 9th lords are more than 15

degrees apart then they will help each other, but that don’t mean they

have to like each other kinda thing, wheareas if they are less than 15 degrees

then they will step in for each other but the relationship will be more like

4:10.

But the basic thing is that they are

together in 1 house so they will be SD.

So don’t get confused. There are 2

factors here in play.

1) The planets

are in 1 house so they are SD so they will help each other

2) The

relationship between the 2 lords i.e. < 15 deg then like 4:10 or if > 15

then like 2:12

Hope its clear.

Cheers !!!
