Dear Visveswaran -

Just keep studying the lessons and if you don't understand something you can then ask the group and someone will help you. It takes time, so be patient with yourself. Look at the KAS Visuals too. They can help you too. Remember that this is a very intricate science and it's not learned overnight. As with anything else in life, you get out of it what you put into it, it's as simple as that.

Dear Visveswaran -

Please call me Donna. "Madam" just sounds so old and shriveled to me somehow. . . .;))

Anyway, my birthday is actually the 12th of March, but many people sent their wishes early, since it was the 12th in India already while still the 11th New York where I live. I any case, I appreciate you sending me your belated birthday wishes and I thank you kindly.

Dear Gunvant -

Thanks for the belated birthday wishes.

The most important thing to remember about how to count the Upachaya houses is how to count their relationships in regard to each other more than anything else. They are set in a fixed pattern to each other which will actually rotate as a group as you change the B house from one house to another.

Therefore we consider the B house the actual "focus" house depending on what area of interest we are concerned with. The A house is the result or the karaka of the B house in the sense that the condition of A needs to be determined first in order to better judge how to determine the effects of the B house focus. Therefore it would be wise to look at both houses equally and use the strength or weakness of the A house to determine how the B house turns out. For more information and to get a better sense of what I'm talking about, please refer to Visuals 2 and 3 on my website in the KAS Visuals section. Since Houses A and B are in a 6:8 relationship to each other, Visual 3 will be especially informative.
