Guest guest
26.11.2008 Sub: Learning KAS-Ques on Significator planet. Dear Group Members, Ref: Lesson no. 5 titled ‘The Upachaya houses’. Information mentioned: It is mentioned that for any focus house, the planet that gets the highest Bindus in the houses 3rd, 6th, 10th 11th from this focus house, is the Significator planet that gives the result in its Antardasha. Questions : # For detecting the Significator planet, Q1. Do we have to see the BAV bindus of the planets in 3rd,6th,10th,11th and choose the highest Bindu planet, and say that in its AD the good result will be there (with other conditions complying). Or Q2. Do we need the see the table below the SAV chart and choose the highest power planet for the focus house directly? What is the basic approach? My understanding: What I understand at the moment is, suppose we want to know the Significator for focus house no 5 then we observe the power of all the planets for the 5th house and then choose the planet which has the highest power. Q3.Is this correct? Reference to an Example chart: For example, in a chart 13/10/1977, 02:58 hours, 18.N.53, 72.E.50, Asc 5Li33, when we see the power of planets for 5th house we find the following from Asc; Su =10; Mo=13; Ma=9, Me=17, Ju= 11, Ve=20, Sa=10 Do we say that here the Significator planet is Me because it has the highest 17 points? Q4. Is this correct? If yes then do we say that the AD of Me will give good results pertaining to 5th house matters? Now suppose we need to find the fame of this person (see 5th house its Upc’s;) We thus see the 5th house and its Upachaya houses ie 7th house, 10th house, 2nd house 3rd house (3,6,10,11 from 5th house). Q5. Do we also see the lord of 5th house which is Ju here and is aspecting the 5th house malefically (with strength minus 5 points). Ju has the following points; 5th house = 11 (not good), 7th house = 8 (not good), 10th house = 10 (not good), 2nd house=20 (very good), 3rd house=21 (very good). Q6. Does this mean that Ju in its AD may give fame through the 2nd house (say high earning, good PR, good speech) through 3rd house (through relations). Is it that Ju will NOT give fame due to 7th house (spouse, business) and due to authority in profession (10th house) as Ju has low power for these houses? Is it that Ju will refrain from giving good result (fame) because it aspects 5th house malefically? Q7. Is this approach correct? This native is right now passing through the AD of Ve (Jul 2008-Mar 2011). If we see the power of Ve in the Upc of 5th house we find that except for 7th house Ve has high power for all other 3 Upc bhav’s. Q8. Does this mean that the running period of Ve is going to be fruitful to this native for getting more fame? Ve is also LoE for 5th house. Ve is placed in the 2nd house and therefore should give the effects of 5th house (4th from 2nd); even-though it is neutral (4 points). The native has more Venusians qualities ( Ve in 3 sectors of D9, D3,D30 charts). So is it that the native will gain some fame in matters controlled in general by Venus. This native is infact trying his luck in show-biz and is right now struggling. I have chosen the above example from a chart I have in my collection for comparative study. Looking forward to inputs from KAS experts and KAS Learners. Regards, Nikhlesh Mathur
Guest guest
Dear Nikhlesh ji, 1) For selecting the Significators we have the total strength that takes into consideration the ALL following a. Total of A+B+C (B is 10th from A and C is 6th from A therefore upchaya from Karak) b. 4:10 (Parasparak Karak) c. LoD and LoE (upchaya from Karak AND Phal sthan) d. Aspect on House A, B and C e. Aspect on Planets 2) For 5th house the power given by you are all showing the power of all these planets for 5th house. How the planets will act in their respective antra will depend on the power of the Significators. In the chart that is given the power Su Mo Ma Me Ju Ve Sa 10 13 9 17 11 20 11 So in antra of Mercury one will get good results for 5th house matters. Here Mercury is LoD so its eager to give result for 5th house i.e. furnish the timing of event. Here we are focusing on Quality of event. Venus has 20 points and Me has 17 points so both are eager to furnish the timing of event and Moon has 13 as well. This is when we are studying Happy Event. In the antra of Su, Ma, Ju and Sa, the native will receive less than normal happiness or if an event is not happy might eagerly happen in Ma antra as it has lowest point. So the Significator for a Happy event will be Ve, Me and Mo and significator for an event which is not happy is Sa, Ju, Ma and Su for the above case. I hope the meaning of significator. Ok I am out of time. I shall try to write later on your other questions. Cheers !!!
