Guest guest
Calculating Delay of Saturn. For a chart in India i.e. a Male chart, we say that in General, that Saturn delays marriage for 27.5 years i.e the full delay of Saturn. What are the calculation steps. For a male chart in India, the Legal age is 21 years for marriage or say after the age of 20 the male can marry. So we can take 7.5 years as delay so total is 27.5 years. Now, that would mean that Saturn must transit 11 house from the place it is in and when it comes to 0 degrees of the house from where its placed, we can say that Saturn’s delay is over. Let us take an 3 scenarios as example. Scenario 1 Saturn is in the 5th house of a chart and at 0 degrees of 5th house. So now Saturn has to transit from 0 deg to 30 deg of 5th house so 2.5 years, then 6th, 7th,8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 0 deg of 4th house. So the total assuming Saturn takes 2.5 years to transit entire 1 full sign makes it 27.5 years. Scenario 2 Saturn is at 30 degrees in 5th house, so now, Saturn will go into 0 deg of 6th house and then take 2.5 years to transit 6th house and then 2.5 years to do 7th, 8th, 9th .... 0 deg of 4th house so now its only transited 10 house so the total delay now will be 25 years. It saved 2.5 years as it was already at 30 deg of 5th house so it did not need to spend 2.5 years to transit the full 5th house. Scenario 3 Saturn is at 15 degrees in 5th house. So it will take about 1.25 years to complete transit of 5th house, and then 2.5 years to go through 6th house and then 2.5 to go though 7th house and like that all the way to 0 deg of 4th house. So it will take 25 years to go through 10 signs and then 1.25 years to go though 5th house i.e. the 15 deg or half of 5th house therefore total delay that Saturn will contribute is 25 + 1.25 = 26.25 years. So like that we can estimate the delay of Saturn in our calculation. Now Saturn in 5th house would mean there is DELAY. This also has to be taken in context of desh, kaal and Paatra. We also must apply ourselves more practically and after considering the religious environment, society’s influence, education, what is considered average age of marriage and from that point we can consider delay. Say if the average marriage or early marriage age is 25 in some places then delay might be 32.5 years or so. So here the above scale might not work. Today also, people are spending more time in education and want to establish themselves first before committing to a marriage so we can factor in the time taken for education and finding a job etc and apply the laws with intelligence.
