Dear Anupji,

In the lessons, we are told to use 3rd house for consideration of things

affecting mother, but in the H4 chart for the worksheet, it indicates it is to

be used for mother.

Can you help me understand the difference?

Thanks you

Dear Nelson,

We look 3rd house as house B for mother and 9th house for father.

So do not get confused.

You can go through archives where Guru ji and Ash ji has written many times

on this subject in detail.

5th house from lagna we consider children and 9th house from 5th house

indicate father which is lagana itself. Same way 9th house from first

house indicate father's house.

Now from first house (lagna) 7th house from lagna is for wife or spouce.

So 7th from 9th house is 3rd house means father's wife,or mother

for the native.

I hope its clear now.

Regards

Anup

Dear Nelson,

I think there is some confusion. Ninth house represents as father, and tenth as pitru sukh (Please refer standard text).Means father and pitru sukh are two different things. 2nd house from father's house is pitru sukh. Again in vedic text 4th house is indicated as matru sukh (not Mother), means fourth house is a second house from mother's house. Means definitelky 3rd house is for mother. There is some confusion. Because in vedic books also it is differenciated that father and pitrusukh.

Apart from this as per the taching of my Guruji we take 3rd house for mother, and we get correct result also. We follow the same.

Definitely there is some confusion in taking the meaning, other wise why father and mother are 6:8 in chart. :)

Dear Nelson,

Guru ji has replied so that should

clear this for you.

The chart is always symmetrical. i.e. if 1st is SELF then 7th

is Spouse. If 11th is self

earned income, then 5th is opposite of that i.e. unearned income, so

we take it as speculation, if 2nd house is wealth i.e. self earned

wealth, then 8th house is that of unearned wealth so we say inheritance

(12th from 9th as well).

So like that, the symmetry is ALWAYS maintained.

If one takes 9th house for father and 4th

for mother, then that symmetry is broken and that is not possible.

Otherwise, if 1st is SELF then 8th

house should be that of Spouse and that we know is not true.

3rd is Matru which means

mother and 9th house is Pitru or

father. 4th house is Matru Sukh and 10th

house is Pitru Sukh. Sukh means

happiness.

Cheers !!!

Dear Guruji and Ash,

Thank you both for explaining the details to my question about mother's house.  It makes excellent reason from the chart perspective itself.

But the second part of my question concerned the worksheet and the " H4 " section.  I had assumed H meant house, and 4 meant 4th, so when reading the general attributes for the H4 section I saw it pertained to mother.  That was part of my confusion.

Thank you both
