It really is a much better way of looking at things. I have thought about competition and wonder sometimes if maybe it is a tool to help us to become " Who We Really Are " - a phrase I borrow from Neale Donald Walsh. I have never been really into sports, but yet I have a deep respect and admiration for " talent " when I see it. Whether it is in sports, art, music, writing, acting or whatever. Sometimes I think that it can be an expression of each person's unique strengths, something for the rest of us to admire and be inspired or entertained by. On the other hand, for those of us who have experienced the " losing " side of " whatever, " perhaps it is a path that was chosen to develop compassion, perseverence, patience, appreciation, or the realization that we are better suited elsewhere. So maybe we each have our own agenda, unbeknownst even to ourselves. And competition may be a tool to fulfill that agenda. I think of our own personal " agenda " as sort of the " college degree " we decided to major in here on Earth. And I wonder sometimes about each of the " courses " that have to be passed. Often they seem pointless, especially the " basics, " but then again, maybe not. Deb
