Guest guest
Hi Deb, Thank you so much for the thoughtful response. I appreciate your empathy more than I can say. I really am beginning to see that the good and bad in life should be used to learn from, and that we ultimately should be grateful to them, no matter how unpleasant they were. The response that Sam sent to me really made me see that - thank you Sam! I can relate to the different grounding that our parents have. My mom might be more open to it as she did her share of " spook chasing " as my dad used to call it. My dad on the other hand slammed any pursuit our ours that didn't agree with what he believed. I love him and forgive him and am grateful for him through it all. I do wonder about becoming like my dad however, as I often ask myself, " what would Dad do in this situation? " It isn't much comfort to know that I may be reacting to situations like he did though as I resolved from the age of 12 to not be like him. Sad but true. I guess we all need a role model of some type. So, I'm trying to be better and forge a better path - I've always been a bit quiet, spiritually minded, if not in the conventional sense. I believe . . . . Well, I'm rambling . . . Thanks again for you . . . Grace and Peace to you Deb, Ray
