Guest guest
hi electra.. i don't dj clubs. i only dj at communal gatherings such as our danceaway program. clubs are alright but they are primarily mating rituals where drugs and alcohol also set the mood. they are a limited demographic. also, my style is eclectic. i enjoy presenting dance music from the 60's thru the latest releases. my favorite though is house/ trance music that is melodic, emotional, and spiritual. my gigs are usually set in church halls (like danceaway) in order to emphasize the spirit and energy-moving aspects of dance. also, in this format and setting, you can play ethereal pieces in order to warm-up or cool- down. this is a journey i take very seriously. what is your perspective? love, -steve f
Guest guest
All about dancing! My favourites for qigong/shakti enhancing dancing are psytrance, drumnbass, breakbeat... you gotta have an atmosphere where u can do anything. All about sound too... Hey do any of you guys have experience of the sound current... super interested in that cos Im a musician, but never heard more than a single pure tone, like the rim of a wine glass kinda thing. Guest guest
Hi Steve, I'm very similar to you really, house music and any good electronica, uplifting and spiritual. I love the tantric aspects of dancing to different rhythms. I was living in london and feeling the desire to share music but nowhere vibrated with me. I ended up giving up clubs and just concerntrated on healing and meditation for 4 years. Then, when I was travelling my higher self plonked this opportunity for me to go to China and dj, feeling it to be an important part of my journey, I decided to come out of retirement and play. I like to bless my records , set an intention in the club for peace and love and then use music to lift peoples mood and help them relax. I'm playing to people who have had limited access to music and are hungry to feel new vibes. I say prayers and blessings while I play. I stimulate my k energy whilst performing as it's very centering for me. I feel honoured to have this chance to finally enjoy my passion. Open-air events with a more family feel , and spiritual feel would be my optimum choice, australia has some nice parties. Wishing you love and music, Elektra x x x ps I also love to do fire shows and offer that as a gift to Shakti. Now you can scan emails quickly with a reading pane. Get the new Mail.
