Guest guest
Hello everyone, may you all abide in serenity, no matter what is going on in your lives... In the buddhism of tibet, they describe various stages of dissolution of the mind, which are supposed to happen in backwards or forwards order during deep meditation, sleep, sneezing, orgasm, ecstacy and death, fainting, epliepsy etc. These can be recognised by various signs, eg first is a smoky appearance that one might see prior to fainting, second spots of light like fireflies appear, after this I'm not sure exactly, but towards the end of the dissolution various coloured lights appear, red, white and black, after which one enters the clear light. I am wondering if the there is a correspondence with the lingam, which supposedly represents the astral body, which has a dark and then smoky appearance, after with the smoke progressively disappears and the lingam glows brightly (the clear light?) I had an intense experience about age 5 or 6, in which I got out of bed and walked into the middle of the room, and suddenly experienced something like these smoky and brightly coloured experiences, after which everthing dissolved into very bright white/yellow light, accompanied by a very high vibration and loss of sensation in the body to an overwhelming tinging that was so strong and actually seemed to want to give way to reality completely, and loss of all the senses. Maybe this was one of the most significant experiences of my life. I remember fighting so hard, in fear, to stay in this reality, consciously pulling myself with all my intention back into this dimension, which was based on terror, and then walking over to the window where I saw a giant triceratops (a type of dinosaur) exactly like one of my toys, which scared my so much I screamed and my parents came up. They were little consolation as they didn't believe that there actually " was a monster " outside! But maybe that wasn't the important part of the experience... The dinosaur maybe was just an entity or personal fear that reflected my terror at entering the light. The experience of light was probably the more significant. I definitely makes me think of the descriptions of the lingam being surrounded by thin wisps of smoke, and gradually being uncovered. Reflecting on this experience, it makes me reflect on how much indeed the map is not the territory... but I should still probably be very much confused were it not for those maps made but all the brave yogis and holy people in the past. Serenity to you all - Japo Japo's thought 4 the day: Whether you do or do not think you understand it intellectually, reality IS HERE! A person with more supposed knowledge is not more real, nor does he or she have a more real experience of reality.

Guest guest
During the day it was a constant form of wonderment that I could do certain things, and of the events that would occur for me. During the night it was quite terrifying. I can remember being taught astral projection techniques at about the age of six, by beings from the inter-astral areas, the memories are very strong of my childhood because of the experiences. - loolooouk <milliondegrees wrote: Hey no problem! Guest guest
Asa child I was basically clueless about what was occuring. My Mother could offer no explanation and my Father was even more remote about it. So I just stopped telling them after a time. I had absolutely no control. At the mercy of my guidance and the astral and physical elements. - loolooouk <milliondegrees wrote: Ah sounds like you went a bit deeper than me Chrism! Guest guest
Chrism I had a brother who was going through many of the same things. Our parents were struggling with their own lives and had little time for any concerns like this of ours. We just did our thing and never spoke to them about it. I told my mother once and she just assured me that I would be alright in the morning. : ) And I was. My brother and I spoke telepathically and just took that for granted. Some of what happened frightened me at first but I developed ways to deal with it or just realized it was my reaction that was upsetting rather than the event itself.
