Guest guest
ENTER THE BIG KUNDALINI CONTEST! WOO-HOO! SEE WHO GETS AWAKENENED FIRST! BIG KARMIC PRIZES FOR THOSE WHO PLACE FIRST! Ok... Maybe that was cruel... But, if you haven't deleted this message yet, please read on... It bothers me when I see others compare their " Kundalini accomplishments " with others. It bothers me more when they seem discouraged. This has been tugging at my heart for some time, so I'm writing this for some peace. *This is no contest.* I don't fully understand what " this " is-- but I believe " this " is what I have been looking for all of my 53 years. Does " it " replace my religious beliefs or my activities here on earth (or my activities beyond)?? Nope. Will " it " enhance the above? That is my sincere wish! Again... Is it a contest against others? Hell no! I personally hate contests! Being involved in Martial Arts all of my adult life (I started in hopes of not getting beat up or killed by others-I continued for all of the life ehancing skills learned)--I really hated it when my " Masters " INSISTED on contests! It hurt others --- and for me... " cheapened the experience " . I'm trying to sound as humble as I feel about all of this....sometimes people take me wrong. Please DON'T! My Kundalini accomplishments are very small and very personal (though that Samadhi thing was what I needed to continue my quest in this direction! Maybe that's why I got it? The " powers that be " figured it was time for me to have a small glimpse into something very great?). I love you guys and feel for all of you! Keep cool. Don't be discouraged. What ever " it " is...It seems to have a mind of it's own . But. " it " always seems to come when we need it, and it is kind enough to not overlaoad our feeble mind/spirit/bodies until we explode! THAT I am very greatful for! I'm not ready to explode! Love and Blessings to all! Thank you all for you guidance and assistance now and in the future! :) Stephen

Guest guest
Stephen is right. Contests have really no place in spiritual progress. Comparing notes in this forum is--and needs to be--only a way to learn from each other's experiences, achievements, and mistakes. Please keep sharing your beautiful stories, and don't feel bad if your K isn't showing you its fireworks yet (not to worry: it'll happen!). Being on the K path without a supportive community of like-minded people is not just lonely, but it can also be pretty scary... Guest guest
Well Stephen it is something to be aware of. Everyone here is in a different place with the Kundalini. Some like you have had the Samadhi some have visions some smell psychically, everyone has their own gifts and there isn't really a better or worse with them. Some are moving fast. I don't say this to place a value judgment on what is occurring. It is what it is for the person. I am not going into a persons past or previous lives in order to ascertain the whys and the wherefores of specific activity- that's the persons job as far as I am concerned. I believe I have made my personal feelings about the value of competition known. A person will go as fast as the desire will take them. Desire to practice, to open, and to receive. When the person gets to a certain part of the path more and sometimes different information can be helpful. Information that may not be helpful to a person not on that section of the path yet. No value judgment, no competition, just the courtesy of a signpost. -

" !!! I agree - I am fascinated by everyone's experiences. I am so " into it " that whenever I hear of another person's experience here, I feel as though I experienced it myself. Maybe that's weird, but really, I do. This forum (and the OBE forum) is kind of like reading a new chapter to a very good book, every day! The kind of book that makes you feel like you were actually there and leaves you in suspense - like every day is a cliff-hanger! One thing is for sure - there is nothing boring about us folks! When I first read that competition post, my first thought was that it reminded me of when I took World Literature in college and the first day the teacher says, " Under no circumstances is anyone here allowed to use Cliff Notes. " And asked the person next to me, " Cliff Notes? What are Cliff Notes? " When she told me, my next question was, " Where can you get those? " LOL! Not that I would cheat, or anything. But seriously, I am just enjoying the journey. Mine, yours and ours. Deb PS to Sam: " Tryptyche Rules " - LOL! Good one, Sam. I almost missed that. Guest guest
I would like to add just a bit here. First I would like to thank John R. for his honest post that might reflect others similar thoughts. The human mind works by and in comparison. That's normal and natural. Whenever I see myself doing that I note (when I am aware enough) that I am in my mind and not in my spirit. I try not to judge it (comparison again) just reflect that it is so. It's the way we are folks. The other thing is the " what do I say after the rape share " syndrome. Sometimes difficult to share about the pain of not being able to drive the Lexus because it's in the shop after you hear the rape share. Everybody has their own problems and life struggles that are important to them. Hard to really say whose share is more important inless you are in to the above (see the comparison thingy above.) I get a lot out of all the posts here. Some of you have a lot of " this life " experience, some of you are aware of a lot of " that life " experience. Some of us haven't been " here " for very long and don't remember " that " very well. However, one thing is for sure and that is that we all have been around for a long long time whether we remember it or not and have a lot to give to each other. The one true gift we have is ourselves. I invite you to share it openly for the benefit of us all.
