Dear Chris:

Thanks for the lovely welcome. It is overwhelming to have been loved by

everyone around. Chris thanks for your insight on the postings. I will follow

your advice.

I carry a sri-chakra (sri-yantra engraved on a copper plate) in my wallet all

the time, my wife gifted to me last week, and this chakra was given to her by a

temple priest (i live in india ;) ...). I have a MERU (a pyramid sri-yantra)

presented to me by a colleague which my family prays to.

LALITHA has guided me to understand sri-chakra, and i have been blessed by HER

to have been shown the light, I feel Mantra, yantra and Tantra are the different

facets of the same manifestation.

My association with mantras as a hindu-brahmin boy has been there since my

childhood. My father taught me to recite the GITA when i was 3 yrs old, (though

i remember very little of what i had been taught now), and my i rmeember my

mother taking me to 'Soundarya Lahari' chanting classes, and this has stayed

with me.

Soundarya Lahari (SL) is my initiation into tantra and kundalini, and i was

guided 2 yrs ago by my sixth sense to pursue SL and chant it. A small intro on

Soundarya Lahari is needed here:

Soundarya Lahari meaning waves of beauty consists of two parts viz. Ananda

Lahari meaning waves of happiness (first 41 stanzas) and Soundarya Lahari(the

next 59 stanzas). It is believed that Lord Ganesha himself has etched the Ananda

Lahari on Mount Meru(Some people believe that Sage Pushpa Dhantha did the

etching). It was read from there by Sage Gouda Pada who taught it to Adhi

Sankara. Adhi Sankara himself added the rest of the 59 stanzas and completed it.

These 100 stanzas are supposed to be the foremost among Manthra literature. It

is also believed that by Making suitable Yantras and reciting particular stanzas

and worshipping the yantras almost anything can be obtained in the world.

One can get lot of info on SL by googling. I recommend

http://www.advaitavedanta.co.uk link, which gives a fantastic commentary on each

verse, and I have enjoyed reading each one. Sarceto would agree on this.

One can listen to SL on http://www.udbhava.com/udbhava/songs.jsp?id=551

Listen to this once, and see the magic unfolding. You can feel Kundalini

dancing. Each mantra has an associated yantra. I have a book that has yantras

for all the 100 mantras, but I m trying to get hold of an online version.

Coming back to Srichakra, I have started understanding each ‘avarana’ in the

sri-chakra and its associations with ‘devatas’ in the each avarana. I am

studying Muttuswamy Dikshitar’s ‘Navavarana kritis’, music compositions (nine

componsitions for nine avaranas). This is helping me understand srichkra

completely.

I am understanding how srichakra embodies the whole universe as well as a

human body, the sacred geometry, and how each charka corresponds to different

avaranas in the sri-chakra.

Recently, I attended a Sri-chakra and navavarana pooja, and it was a fantastic

experience. Parallels were drawn to each avarana in srichakra and charkas in our

body and how each ‘devata/godess’ in an avarana corresponds to different

entities in our body, and ways and methods to harmonise our entities and

surroundings with the srichakra.

This is where I met my GURU and he blessed me, and I asked for diksha of

‘panchadashaksari’ mantra, and he smiled and said ‘Son, u must go through steps

one by one. I will start you with level 1, and see how it goes’. This he said

will happen in October, where I will be blessed to be initiated into Sri-vidya,

along with other blessed ones.

I have a good set of friends (I call them ‘fellow travelers’), who meet once a

week on Saturday, we sing ‘bhajans/hymns’, helping us to clear our heart and

throat charkas, meditate, and provide healing to ones that require it.

Hello,

My name is Sherri and I have been pretty quiet lately. Thanks so much for your

share. I have the sri-chakra on copper also (mine is about 3 " x3 " ....was simply

strongly drawn to it so got it) and have loved it moved it around the house and

it really never exactly found its place. I am delighted at the idea of putting

it in my wallet and will do so right away.

I chant the Hanuman Chaleesa (only 80 stanzas, lol) all the time (really, ALL

the time) and will be delighted to listen to what you describe.

So welcome and thank you so much for your share. You have said things that help

me a lot.

In gratefulness(and excitement),

Sherri

Hi,

I just listened to a part of the SL, experienced great joy and excitement and my

little foster child came in the room. (female, 11, aware energy-wise) I was

having Kyrias and she was a little alarmed, but I told her what they were, had

her become calm and hold my hand and listed to a little more of the SL and had

more Kyrias.. She laughed in delight (likes to hear the Hanuman Chalessa before

bedtime) and really " felt " the Kyrias herself. So, thank you again for these

wonderful experiences.

I will certainly peruse the SL more, probably get a few versions and start the

delightful task of learning to chant it. ( I am also learning the Czech

language as I go there each year. There other languages are not easy for me but

very rewarding)

Again, your share has advanced the direction I am going very strongly, so thank

you.

In gratefulness,

Sherri aka kindkalie, lol

WOW,WOW!!!!

I just went to your blog ( am supposed to be getting ready for work and looked

at your photos. As they morphed from one to the other I started shaking, having

kyrias, panting and making strange sounds. Obviously I am so excited and am

connecting to what you have there. It is a long story and I must go to work

(work of service and it is beautiful so I will not be late) but I have redone my

room house with different thankas which are much more geometrical and like

sacred geometry. Neither my friend or I have ever seen anything like them

(pyramids, etc.) and I am setting up the house for something that I do not know

about yet.

I must go but am SO excited and grateful and thankful for all you have opened

here. K does work in wonderful ways! (and at strange times, lol!)

In gratefulness,

Sherri

Dear Sam:

Thanks for the reply. Yes. Support system in india, especially in South India

is a lot more than in the West. Especially, if one is born in a brahmin family,

things are more easily accessbile.

I was not aware that there were so many paths to K, and so many wannabe

K-enlightened souls. This is very reassuring to me, that there are so many

'fellow travelers'. The goal is the same, though paths are different, and in

many places overlapping.

My K experience began with Shaktipat, when i was in California during Aug-Dec

2004. I was given Shaktipat by an individual, and GOD bless her. Before this, i

have been preparing for the K, without my knowledge. In the whole process,

Soundarya Lahiri has helped me to get coordinated, and understand underlying

secrets and truths.

During the Shaktipat, i went through kriyas (i didnt know about kriyas then),

and started meditating. My first meditation was extremely successful, and lasted

for 4 hrs. It was an amazing experience. I discovered that it was very easy for

me to be 'thoughtless', and be in that state, Just 'BE'.

Shaktipat opened all my chakras, and i experienced chakras would start beating

in their own rythm, and one order from me (i mean the consciousness, atman)

would synchronise the beats and create a rythm.

I could bring my conciousness to my heart chakra (anahata chakra), and

experience real bliss and love, i tried to bring it down to manipura (the solar

plexus chakra), but couldnt do it.

OSHO says 'The purpose of centering is to be intuition-centered, .i.e, to move

from material/sex-center (muladhara/swadhistana) to manipura (fire/intuition

chakra), or mind-center (ajna-chakra) to manipura, or heart-center

(anahata-chakra) to manipura. People are of different kinds, sex-centered,

material-centered, mind-centered, and heart-centered. Each person needs a

different tantric/yogic technique or experience to center himself/herself to be

intuition-centered'. Here, i m not quoting OSHO, i am summarizing his teachings

on Vigyana Bhairava Tantra.

the point here is that, After the Shaktipat experience, and the chakras

awakening and sychronization, and my meditation, i could feel my K raising all

theway to Sahasrara, and my Shaktipat guru has helped me in this process. Good

bless her. After this, i could feel that my sixth sense was extremely strong, i

knew how things worked, i didnt have to search for an answer, the answer was

already there, all i had to do was ask for it. It became easier for me to lead

my life intuitively (i started trusting my gut-feeling) rather than rely on my

head or heart.

The best part of the K awakening has been that I have become the Observer and

the Observed. i have been able to successfully seperate the EGO and observe it,

and laugh at it. I have been able to tap the dinine consciousness/energy/brahman

and provide healing.

Since then, I have been guided by my intution to stay put and not continue

furthur till i find my Guru. I have found my Guru after 2 yrs :))....... The

rest is Destiny.......

Would love to hear from others as well.

love and blessings to all

Dear Sherri:

You are blessed by LALITHA. The wallet idea was suggested by my wife.

I chant SL 1st and 11th shloka (stanza) all the time. SL will open up more

Dear Chris:

Thanks for the lovely welcome. It is overwhelming to have been loved by everyone

around. Chris thanks for your insight on the postings. I will follow your

advice.

This is helping me understand srichkra

completely.

I am understanding how srichakra embodies the whole universe as well as a human

body, the sacred geometry, and how each charka corresponds to different avaranas

in the sri-chakra.

Good

Dear Sherri:

Verse 11 in SL describes Sriyantra as mantra " SRI CHAKRA PRESENTED AS CONICAL

SECTION VIEW WITH 43 ELEMENTS OF REFUGE " . I have found that, meditating on

Srichakra is one of the methods for K awakening, and verse 11 is the mantra

description of the srichakra and chanting it would definitely be enjoyable.

Verse 11:

caturbhih srikanthais sivayuvatibhih pancabhir api

prabhinnabhih sambhor navabhir api mulaprakrtibhih

catus catvarimsad vasudalakalasra trivalaya

trirekhabhis sardham tava caranakonah parinatah

With the four of Shiva and of Shiva maids five,

And severally the nine of prime nature, with eight and sixteen petals,

Three circles and three lines are thus complete

The forty-three elements that make up your finalized angular refuge.

God Bless you,

Keshav

( I am also learning the Czech language

as I go there each year. There other languages are not easy for me but very

rewarding)

Again, your share has advanced the direction I am going very strongly, so thank

you.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I bought 2 versions of SL on CD this morning (I hope one

is compleat...one is just the first 20 verses), a translation and a book with

translation. It was less easy to find than I had imagined. I really appreciate

being given this opening to move through. If you ever come back to California,

please let me know. I am just over the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco.

Dear Sherri:

Going through the Srichakra morphing into each enclosure (avarana) is a

beautiful experience, i agree with you.

Sharing what little i know: There are two ways of traversing srichakra. One

from outer to inner, and another from inner to outer. In this case, we are going

from the outer enclosure to the inner enclosure (this represents Destruction or

dissolution i.e., from creation to singularity or the reverse of the big-bang).

When you move from inner to outer enclosure, it represents creation (from

singularity to the creation).

Would like to hear more about the pyramid and the home improvement stuff.

around. Chris thanks for your insight on the postings. I will follow your

advice.

This is helping me understand srichkra

completely.

I am understanding how srichakra embodies the whole universe as well as a human

body, the sacred geometry, and how each charka corresponds to different avaranas

in the sri-chakra.

Hi,

I am a foster parent who works with the oldest and most difficult children the

County has. (delinquent and crazy, they say) In the past year some have healed

and gone on to live productive lives and then there are the others. I have had

my car stolen, my ATM card and $700. stolen and the last thing was an accidental

fire (they say) that took a bedroom, resulted in all my house having to painted

and the rugs redone as well as my losing much art work I had had for years. I

decided to look at athe fire as a rebirth of my life and home (Chrism said my

house went through a Kundali transformation, lol) and, for the last 5 months, I

have re structured what I was doing for a living and who I would let live in the

house. The process is not quite complete and I followed intuition all the way,

never knowing what the next step would be.

I have one 11 year old girl now and am working with a developmentally disabled

man for an agency who I have the utmost spiritual respect. And am making about

a third of the money I was but that is OK.

The Tibetan Thankas I had in the house faded and were damaged in the cleaning

process (smoke damage) and I could have easily replaced them with similar

Thankas, but looked around and found these more geometrical ones that felt like

they were from the future and not the past.

I am not so good with the computer but have a friend who will help me transfer

pictures from my camera to the computer and then I can email them (want to sell

on ebay) so I will send a pic of the one Thanka when I am able to do that.

In gratitude,

Sherri

Dear Sherri:

Going through the Srichakra morphing into each enclosure (avarana) is a

beautiful experience, i agree with you.

Sharing what little i know: There are two ways of traversing srichakra. One from

outer to inner, and another from inner to outer. In this case, we are going from

the outer enclosure to the inner enclosure (this represents Destruction or

dissolution i.e., from creation to singularity or the reverse of the big-bang).

When you move from inner to outer enclosure, it represents creation (from

singularity to the creation).

Work of Service is Work of GOD. GOD is with you and so are God's blessings.

Would like to hear more about the pyramid and the home improvement stuff.

God Bless you,

love

Sherri
