Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what and where the Tanden is in the body and how do you access it and how important is it? Guest guest
Nope, Nope, I think I will stick to the now! I am sure there will be a later where I will need to learn more about the Tanden. I just never heard of it, and it was supposed to be in the belly and I couldn't really find any information as to what it was other than that! Curious, that is all. Thanks though for the information. I will save it for later on down the road. ,_._,___ Love and Peace for Eternity, Katherine All-new Mail - Fire up a more powerful email and get things done faster. Guest guest
Four finger widths below the navel. Tanden is a japanese word, the chinese word is tantien or dantian, and both mean " earth-heaven " meaning the place in the body where, in the practice of tai chi or other internal martial arts or taoist cultivation practices, the vibrational force of the Earth, which is brought up throught the legs, meets the vibrational force of the cosmos descending from the sky through the crown. These force are mixed in the dantien and create an enenergy frequency the body can use, which is a source of vitality called " yuanqi " . is right to advise caution, one of the reasons being that if you don't perform this practice correctly, or with a proper teacher, energy can get stuck in blocks, or " sick energy " can be amplified or sent to another part of the body. So be careful! Love, peace and blessings, and lots of chi! Guest guest
Thank you for the information! I don't plan on doing anything with it at this time, maybe in the future if it is right for me then and I have someone locally who can advise me. I love the idea of always learning, not to keen on practicing the unknown without guidance. Thank you James for your wisdom and I do heed yours and Chris' warning!
