Guest guest
PEACE I am learning more and more that growing spiritually has more to do with just staying in the present moment and being at peace with ourselves. Because of the simplicity of this the mind will discount it. However, it is very powerful in a spiritual sense. The main problem with the mind has to do with time. The mind is always thinking about the past or worrying about the future. Neither one actually exists. The present is always with us in reality. In the present we are at peace. We can only be at peace with ourselves while staying in the present and not allowing our minds to dictate who and what we are. We are not our minds or our thoughts. When we become the observer or the knower behind our thoughts, we are at peace. When we are at peace, forgiveness is effortless. No one has a problem with anyone else when they are at peace with themselves. There is no sickness or disease in our physical bodies when we are at peace with ourselves. There is no conflict with our fellow human beings, or God, or within ourselves when we are at peace within ourselves. Being at peace within ourselves is the essence of loving ourselves therefore, loving everyone else. So, the answer to all of our searching and problems lies within us in becoming at peace within ourselves which causes us to be at peace and one with the universe which includes all. Our minds are the enemies of peace within ourselves as long as we identify ourselves by our thinking and our minds. After we realize that we are much more than our minds or thoughts, then we can use our mind as the wonderful tool it was designed to be. Remember all resistance to peace comes from the mind which comes from a place of fear, guilt, insecurity, and fear of death. So, peace within is the answer. Increasing in knowledge is not except for knowledge that points you toward peace and love within yourself. These are simple things that the mind cannot understand. Just being aware that the thinking mind is the problem and becoming the observer of the mind is enough to break free. So, loving others is not a struggle when we are at peace with ourselves. When we have a problem forgiving someone, all we need to do is resolve whatever is disturbing our peace within, then we can easily forgive. Peace, Koushik.
