Reincarnation & the Essence of Thought - John

Hi John,

Usually I read your posts and just say Wow.

However, something you said in this and I think a prior post have made me

understand a bit more of the reason why we're here.

I have for a good long time, pursued OBE (I'm also a member of that site, though

I now concentrate more on this site). I believe from the books I've read and

the posts that one of the big advantages of being human is to experience

accelerated learning from our own perspective (everyone's is different), then

when we continue onward from this human form, we will contribute our learning to

the infinite consciousness . . . .

So, when talking about this (gently) to my wife, she asks very practical

questions like: Why? and what knowledge could we pass on, and wouldn't that

already be known? if God is God, wouldn't he already know all of this? You

know, easy questions like that :-)

She doesn't buy into, or hasn't been properly introduced to the collective

consciousness thing.

So, I'm reading that we, being human are standing between the negative (hell)

and positive (heaven) and can perceive and can desire or act on both, whereas,

those in hell only desire heaven, and vice versa; and this perspective is unique

to we'uns on earth, and THAT human experience is valuable to those in the

collective consciousness because they can't understand it, and is what we pass

on when we pass on.

It is an interesting question though - why does it matter?

I am not to sure what you mean

Though I will take it the question in itself

And that is," why does it mater"?

It is quite conceptual and the premise is based on the needs of the individual. What it means to you might well be not what it means to your wife. In such instance she might mean she would rather go shoping for cloths and would spend hour on wondering what shade of colour to wear. I would say,"what does it matter", but that is me.

To someone who yearns discovery of the underlying and determining principles as to there understanding it matters a lot. That may indeed mean the correct shade of colour.

Those people who don't wish or need to know any more than what they desire. I could not seeing any thing mattering at all, nor could I see why it should need to concern them.

Though having said that, we should not forget it is a long road and every human walks it. Some life times for some reason or another the jiva needs a rest, it may have been though a forced awakening or it has certain karmas to perform before the next progressive stage, or the person might have had a fright or witnessed certain unbalances in people who try to acquire a higher state. So in many cases there k is not active, they don't desire for it to be active.Therefore are for the moment as of for this and the next life time they are happy enough, not to choose to put themselves through anythink that might unstablise them.

Its sort of like asking why did Edmond Hillary climb Mount Everest after all beauty is every where. Why take any risk that may seem out side the considered norm.

When I was a kid I went though the why stage and I gave my relatives hell, they would tell me I wasn't to do this do that and I was very demanding and would after understanding the warning do it any way after obtaining the confidence in my self to do so with out them looking. and I got burnt a few times.

I really think your a lucky man to be with a woman who loves you so much and cares about your safety. though in reality you already know the dangers and the risks, as well as your own abilities to be able to endure. The biggest challenge of a house holder and the K is finding the balance between spirituality and material welfare of the family as for that it is the path you choose and I have great respect for that. I envisage in the future the householder life will be much more adapted for k awakening and k active souls but before this happens the money system has to alter.- but that is another subject.
