An Afterthought! God Came to Visit Me!

An after thought! Earlier tonight I was having memories of our life

in Ga. (coastal GA) and remembering what Frank (my husband) had said

when he told me we could move down here for shore duty. He said he

wouldn't have to go away anymore like he did while on subs and when

we were stationed in NC for recruiting duty! He said that he would

only have to go away for a couple a weeks a year at the most. Well,

so far he has been gone twice and both for a week at a time (one in

progress), then in November he goes for another two weeks (again),

that's military life!

 

Well anyway suddenly an event I experienced way back in Georgia came

to me! I was out cutting grass one late afternoon (Frank was out at

Sea on patrol), a minimum of twice a week chore during hurricane

season, when I suddenly felt someone looking down on me! I turned

around and my attention was drawn towards the sun! I looked up into

the sun to see God, YES GOD! I mean it wasn't a physical being, but

I knew that it was him staring down at me! He told me that

everything would be okay! At that time in my life nothing was going

on so I didn't know what exactly He was referring to! I responded by

giving him thanks and then He told me he loved me, and at that

moment it was as if he reached down and wrapped his arms around me!

I felt magnificent and so loved and so blessed! I have never felt

the love and peace as I did at that moment! I ran inside and called

my best friend who at the time lived down the street from me and I

told her what had happened! Then I called my dad! As I told both of

them I didn't know what God was referring to, but it didn't matter

because he came to talk to me! My dad told me that God knew that I

would know what he was talking about; it could be something in a

couple of days, weeks, months, and even years! Reflecting on my life

since there have been so many times things looked grim, but in the

end everything was alright! I carrying that moment with me always,

sometimes it slips to the back and something happens and then it is

flushed back to my present memory, I will carry that moment for

forever and will work on keeping it up front for future reflection.

I am also allowing it to refer to my path I have chosen to travel in

the awakening of K!

Thank you StarStuffs, I tend to put aside, but it never gets completely

forgotten! Actually I was talking to my dad about it not long ago, I can't

believe I didn't even think about it when it would have mattered most! Thanks, I

hope to have many more in the future.
