Guest guest
Welcome and when you are comfortable please introduce yourself. This is a Kundalini site. The is real honest to goodness, base of the spine, to the seventh chakra, full on, full blown, ascension platform, Kundalini. This isnt reiki. As blessed and helpful as reiki can be this isnt it. So if you have questions or comments about the Kundalini feel free to ask or speak now as no limitation on that is given yet at the joining. Blessings and welcome again! - chrism
Guest guest
Thanks for approving my membership application. While this is not a reiki group, I have to admit I came from a reiki background. It will be really fascinating to get more information about Kundalini not from reiki point of view. I'm not sure how and where I should begin, so at the moment I'll just passively follow the ongoing discussion here Blessings Prianggito , " chrism " <> wrote: > > Welcome and when you are comfortable please introduce yourself. Guest guest
greetings to all and thank you for the invitation... my conscious interest in kundalini began at age 18 with research into TM and experimentation with meditation while I was a 1st year undergraduate CS/EE honors student encountering and studying deeply some of the (translated) writings of Socrates and Plato in an honors western philosophy course. in reality, meeting with some initial success in the endeavour (meditation), I realized that my acquaintance with 'it' began at about age fourteen, though I had no name for 'it' at the time. " some initial success in the endeavour " ... one night after a period of prolonged concentration, several months after beginning a regimen of meditation in earnest and reading on the topic voraciously, I started into spontaneous shaking, convolutions and eventual hyperventilation... and woke the serpent power, realizing it was certainly not the first time I'd been through this but had somehow forgotten having experienced such an amazing phenomenon. it reached a certain point at approximately what I learned was called svaddhisthana and I experienced an incredible burning sensation in my back and shoulders as it seemed it wanted to keep going, apparently. somehow it all faded from memory, I had gotten into bed and fallen asleep evidently, and when I woke up the next morning, I thought it had been simply a particularly vivid dream (perhaps I'd eaten something spicy and dreadful at the cafeteria). about a week later, flailing around desperate for information and explanation, I came across Gopi Krishna's work in the uni library, quite fortuitously, and it promptly scared the hell out of me to realize the similarities with what he was describing. that was 1998, and barely the beginning of carving a trail out of the raw material of a seemingly random progression of traumatic nonordinary experience and it coalesced into a semi-universal thoughtform I later discovered was called 'kundalini' by those who had first thought to systematize it millenia ago. so begins the story. the soon-to-be monk, koushik from india, found me online one day and apparently had read some posts I made on kundalini-l several years ago, when I was in Reality far dumber but thought myself to be much smarter than I really was, and yesterday he recommended that I check this place out. so here I am, and there is the first chapter of a story, told hopefully not too self-indulgently, but I do apologize for the wordiness. this load of verbiage dispensed, I think I'll shut up and read for awhile but welcome any comments, here or offlist if it's distracting to your normal threads of conversation. be well, -brian , " chrism " <> wrote: > > Welcome and when you are comfortable please introduce yourself.
