Guest guest
The sun is always in the sky. The clouds come and go. The clouds are like our doubts. If we doubt long enough and deeply enough, we begin to forget that the light of the sun is always present and available. To live in such doubt is to live in illusion which is painful and leads inevitably to seeking -- an outward focus! But how do we find what we have never really lost, but only forgotten? And so the inevitable frustration of such a path is what perpetuates the illusion of darkness -- sustains the clouds of doubt and all of the other related emotional qualities such as despair and hatred. This is the path of forgetfulness -- a path many of us chose long ago. A good path. It is time to remember now however but we must each choose. And to remember, we need only begin to accept where we are in this moment -- to look into the mirror or our own creations, no matter how seemingly difficult. To turn inward. The emotional qualities we encounter do not matter! What matters is our acceptance of them. This does not mean acting them out. This does not mean denying them. It means simply accepting them. Because we must each face our own history, each path is unique and yet every path that awakens is based on acceptance. To practice acceptance is to become like a little sun -- we radiate light, burning our way through the illusions -- the clouds -- from the ground up. Eventually we have clarity and the light of the great sun is upon the tops of our heads once more. Our light and that of the great sun become one, once more. A good path.
