Guest guest
Hi Chrism, a brief update: 1. My Kundalini is moving along well - I feel like I'm sitting on the roof of a house under construction. All under my skin - carpenters hammering away here and there, electricians pushing and pulling wires and flicking switches, and so on. Never know where and when the next piece of scaffolding will appear !! 2. I'm not sure how BUSY meditation should be - various breathing techniques with/without repetition of god's/goddess's name and qualities, pushing energy through chakras, shakti poem - they've all been good for me - but how much meditation time should just be a blanking of the mind and letting what happens, happen? 3. Regarding your view of the inept behaviour of psychiatrists, I was in complete agreement with you until recently. I'm not quite so hard-line now, following treatments applied to my father-in-law by the local hospital psychiatric team. He has been border-line bi- polar, manic-depressive all his life and then following my son-in- law's decision to take him off all medication because of something he read on the internet, my father-in-law had a complete physical and mental collapse. Well, against our wishes, this team applied very minor ECT ( at the voltage of a light globe) under anaesthetic. Early days, but he seems to have made a complete recovery. 4. Mandrea, Alphus and I are discussing Triad arrangements at present, just 2 quick questions: (A) For talk between Triad members, do you prefer Group postings, offline or doesn't matter ? and (B) Can you run through again, the methods of passing on energy/shaktipat and/or reading strengths of energy flows, chakra colors and so on when members are at different stages of Kundalini experience ? This is a wonderful Group and I love you all !! - John R.
Guest guest
Hi John, That's a million dollar question: how busy should meditation be? Theoretically, not busy at all. However, on some level meditation is also energy work, and to move energy we need visualizations etc. To keep the clutter level low, it's good to have a mantra (like you seem to have). Kryias and visions might come, too (making things VERY busy). The key is not to form an attachment to stuff that happens during meditation. Just acknowledge it, but keep returning to your mantra. Also, something you may want to do is to let go of all visualizations, mantras, etc. for a while after you are done working the energy. Just let your mind settle into silence, as Patanjali wrote in his Sutras. That's the deepest point in meditation, and that's when you are more likely to get into a samadhi. Cheers, Sel

Be still and just know that you are one with all that you are. You may have to wiggle around and feel how this works for you but now is the time to go into stillness for as long as you feel you can @@ 3. I dont think so but I may have. Its kind of soon to be looking at those concepts John why not get used to eachothers energy just as it stands for a time.
